Wondering if any of you have / had a septate uterus, and if you went through the procedure to have it removed/corrected? I just found out through a sonohysterogram this morning that I have a septate uterus that measured at 0.8cm (which he said was very small) and my RE recommended having it fixed. Said it is a quick procedure that can be done at my fertility clinic. He mentioned that there is a higher risk for MC and possible infertility if we didn’t have the procedure done, but didn’t seem like there was a huge sense of urgency to get it taken care of either.
Has anyone been in my shoes before? Words of advice? I obviously want to give myself and my Darling Husband the best chance possibly for having a sticky baby when the time comes, but don’t want to go through a procedure if its not totally necessary. From what I’ve read online it’s looking like the pro’s outweigh the cons and getting it done would be the best plan of action as we go through this TTC journey.
Any help/experience/stories would be greatly appreciated 🙂
ETA: posted this in TTC and Pregnancy boards in hopes to find some more responses, assuming most people in the TTC boards would not have experienced this diagnosis yet/at all. 🙂
