January:

  • Finished Save-The-Date Cards and invite designs, began printing them.
  • Ordered the cake (woot!)
  • Visited my venue because they re-did the ceremony site (and it’s gorgeous now!)
  • Designed and recieved custom return address stamp for invites
  • Began buying bottles for hot sauce favors and started making favor tags

February:

  • I’ve got to find an officiant. I’m being lazy about it because Fiance is agnostic and I’m Christian and I’m not sure who will marry us. I really don’t want to call someone and be lectured about Fiance going to hell or something :/
  • I need to book a DJ
  • Fiance needs to pick a best man so I can start designing programs :).

I’m excited to be married, but I can’t help but feeling like I need more time to craft! 🙂

Exciting!  I need to start paying attention to those checklist things.

Things we did in January:

Bought dress (!!!!)
Asked our friend to officiate
Asked another friend to play the ukelele
scheduled caterer tasting
contacted hair/mua
scheduled winery tasting room event for day before wedding
scheduled massages included w/ venue package

Things for February:

go to caterer tasting
talk to beer distributor / start thinking about wines
talk to bridesmaids – figure out their dresses
make sure our guests are on track with figuring out their lodging
follow up w/ hair/mua

I’m sure there’s way more I’m forgetting.  Eep!  Maybe I should add actually pay attention to checklist on this.

January:

settled on a color scheme/ style

went dress shopping… no luck

picked our venue (putting our $250 down to save the date this weekend however)

purchased half of the centerpiece items

got things to make our own invitations

picked our main music

decided on a cupcake cake and found a stand to make ourselves

started our wedding website

asked my friend to be our photographer

decided on, located where to buy and priced our room decor

set a final budget

February:

decide if were having my friends DJ or hiring one (and book)

look for Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses

look for a wedding dress

find a place that has cheap cupcakes

formally ask my Bridesmaid or Best Man if they’ll be my Bridesmaid or Best Man lol

start gathering more decorations

find a guestbook I can make myself

make the ring bearers pillow

get our engagement photos taken for Valentines day

**spend some much needed time with the love for Valentines and forget about all the hectic wedding planning and remember us and why were doing all this crazy stuff in the first place.

It’s crazy! So freaking close! Seems like I was just saying: we have like a year and a half…

So far I’ve:

Booked the church

Booked the reception site

Booked caterer-who also provides table linens, silverware, drinkware, and china with his per plate prices (so very nice!)

Bought most and DIY-ed other “little details” and decor

Got the DRESS!!!!

picked colors and bm dresses

BM’s started getting sized last month

Finished our premarital course

Went wedding band shopping

Have save the dates

Reserved the DJ

Photographer is in the bag

ordered smaples fabric swatches for custom veil

bought wedding jewelry and hair piece

Still need to:

Decide on wedding bands

get addresses 100% in line

get invites

send out save the dates

have engagement party

do “mock up” table centerpieces

have meet the (entire) families party

get a registry together!

need to find more comfortable shoes!!

Pick out tuxes and have GMs fitted

-I’m sure there is a ton more. Just can’t think of it all right now. I have a list laying around here somewhere……
