Seriously…I can’t believe it’s February. For those of us getting married at the beginning of the month, we basically have 7 more months of planning and crafting, and a week or so of going crazy, AND THEN WE’LL BE MARRIED!
So, what did you guys get done during January?
What do you have on the books for February?
- Finalized my decision to DIY flowers (including purchasing some DVDs/books)
- Made my wish tree tags
- Got a bunch of supplies (stuff for bouts, glassware, etc.)
- Decided on my centerpiece design
February I plan to:
- Go bridesmaid dress shopping for the first time
- Practice making the guys bouts
- Finish up my wish tree tags (I need to add eyelets to them)
- Get all my my addresses for our Save-The-Date Cards (which I plan to send in the beginning of March)
- Meet with a potential DOC
- Do a centerpiece mock-up (with fake flowers though, not real ones, to decide if I like the vision or not)

- Finished Save-The-Date Cards and invite designs, began printing them.
- Ordered the cake (woot!)
- Visited my venue because they re-did the ceremony site (and it’s gorgeous now!)
- Designed and recieved custom return address stamp for invites
- Began buying bottles for hot sauce favors and started making favor tags
- I’ve got to find an officiant. I’m being lazy about it because Fiance is agnostic and I’m Christian and I’m not sure who will marry us. I really don’t want to call someone and be lectured about Fiance going to hell or something :/
- I need to book a DJ
- Fiance needs to pick a best man so I can start designing programs :).
I’m excited to be married, but I can’t help but feeling like I need more time to craft! 🙂

@jo.lee: Make a timeline…it makes it a lot less overwhelming when you figure out in advance what you are going to do when. And if there really is too much you can decide what won’t make the cut early on!
-printed STD magnets and stamps /made address list (sending next week)
-picked bridesmaids dresses
-had tailor appointment for dress alterations
-did about 80% of website
-scanned childhood pics of Fiance for slideshow
-nailed down makeup artist and hair
– finish website – need bridal party bios, more pictures
– think about table decor
– plan honeymoon
– help MOB/MOG find dresses
– get people to start thinking about booking flights/hotel!
– find cheap letterpress!!!

Exciting! I need to start paying attention to those checklist things.
Things we did in January:
Bought dress (!!!!)
Asked our friend to officiate
Asked another friend to play the ukelele
scheduled caterer tasting
scheduled winery tasting room event for day before wedding
scheduled massages included w/ venue package
Things for February:
go to caterer tasting
talk to beer distributor / start thinking about wines
talk to bridesmaids – figure out their dresses
make sure our guests are on track with figuring out their lodging
follow up w/ hair/mua
I’m sure there’s way more I’m forgetting. Eep! Maybe I should add actually pay attention to checklist on this.
