Oh goodness!  I can’t believe this is the last month of 2010!

I am just trying to finish finals, but after I am done with that, probably try to work on our envelope liners for our invitations.  I need to look at my list, but I’m trying not to get distracted from school by wedding stuff (which as you can tell has been a failure so far, since I’m on the Bee right now!).

I’m trying to get the save the dates sent out (they’re all ready to go, I just need to address and mail them) within the next week or so.  I know most people are trying to avoid the holidays, but we’ll be seeing a lot of our out of town guests around that time, so I’d like them to get the save the dates before we visit.

I think that’s pretty much it.  I got all psyched up for dress shopping, but now it looks like all my possible dress shopping days are booked up this month, so that may have to wait until January.  I do need to pick something at some point, so I can then figure out what I want to ask my bridesmaids to wear.

I am totally failbride, though.  I feel like there’s probably more I should do, I just can’t be bothered to worry about anything besides food and drink.

We’re working on designing our Save the Dates to go out in Jan, and trying to come up with a theme/design for all of our paper items (STDs, Invites, Programs, Escort Cards).  All of our big stuff is contracted at this point, just working away on the little details!  OH yeah, and trying not to gain any lbs over the holidays…..

We have the Save-The-Date Cards picked out and ordered and I FINALLY figured out how to convert an excel doc into Word for address labels, so that will be much easier than handwriting. On top of that, i downloaded a cool font, so they look extra special!!!

Before that, we are sending our XMas cards that will also announce our engagement and they are the CUTEST cards EVER!

We also ordered personalized napkins, matches and drink stirrers from foryourpart.com becuase they had 30% off

My main thing to tackle is the hotel block because that is stressing me out!

Other things we hope to accomplish this month:

– Finalize hotel block

– Book DJ

– Post Wedding Website

– Start Registry

– Pick date for engagement party.

*Phew*… now I’m stressed!

I can’t believe how fast this year went! We decided to register at one of the stores we chose this month – just in case people want to be generous at Christmas 🙂 I am including my Save-The-Date Cards in our Christmas cards, so I need to start addressing those soon. I hope to make it out with my bridesmaids within the next couple of weeks too.. I’m starting to feel very overwhelmed, even though we have all of our big vendors booked except for the florist. Coming up on the 9 month mark, I feel like there’s still so much to do!

There’s a lot on the list!  We’re sending out our engagement party invites soon, then ordering save the dates (glad for the reminder to get addresses!).  Also on the agenda:  confirm minister, find a rabbi who’ll work with the minister, DJ, hotel block, and start looking for a bakery (yum!).  I think that’s it for now …

I think my goal for the month is mainly to sign contracts with a few more vendors. I’d at least like to have the photographer and caterer booked by the end of the month (we already have the venue). Then next up on my list is probably dress shopping. I’m not sure how much wedding stuff I’ll actually get done this month though. December is sort of busy between Christmas preparations and then I am going to be out of town for one week in the middle of December. One thing I did check off my list this week was asking my friends and sister to be in my wedding party. I was excited to finally do that.
