@angelicwink:  Just looked it up and realized you can only do it between 15-20 weeks. They like BARELY got it done in time for me, then, but it was comforting to know that it came back normal, especially when they saw something they didn’t like on the u/s.  Had I had my anatomy scan done a little later, though, I probably would have never had it done either, I was even debating it when they suggested it at my appointment but my OB said if nothing else it can give everyone a heads up if they need to suspect any reason to do a c-section or something.  I hope that you fall into the “nothing” category, too!  I will be thinking about you and baby!!!

@tracylesq:  ha dang it, I feel like I’m really missing out not being on FB. Only 27 more days to go.

I feel like sharing my belly photos, since I’m not posting them on FB or anything!

Can’t believe how much I’ve grown in 4 weeks! Is anyone else kinda freaked by the fact that at 24 weeks our uteri (Lol!) is the size of a SOCCER BALL?!?! Lol!

and now…

@FloridaGatorBride:  cool check in idea – I don’t seem to be able to do it from my phone though, struggling to work the cut and paste πŸ™‚ plus, I’d have no idea how to respond to most questions, really haven’t thought most of that through yet!

@cowgirlace:  no Braxton hicks here yet, but amazed that they could start soon! I do remember reading somewhere that they could start around now, so I’m sure your doc will say it’s ok πŸ™‚

@angelicwink:  fingers hugely crossed for you, hope it was nothing and you get the all clear

@MrsRose:  I sometimes forget I’m pregnant too, especially when I’m running around school all day! Which is funny, coz my belly is so noticeable now! Sometimes I’ll even walk past a window and get a sock at my reflection πŸ™‚

@tracylesq:  so strange to hear you all discussing the heat, it is getting so cold here, and the days are getting shorter.I don’t mind snuggling on the couch with the dog though!

@mtnhoney:  wow, great photos, and look at that growth!I feel like mine pops out a bit further every two or three days at the moment.

@cowgirlace:  Occasionally I’ll get braxton hicks…I drink water and they go away. At the birthing class they say always drink lots of water, especially if you get cramps bc your uterus grows & gets dehydrated.

Had our first birthing class last night! Not too exciting for the first one, but I’m sure I’ll be learning a lot. Hopefully it will make me feel more prepared and less nervous!

@pmerr:  @cowgirlace:  yay! i gotta scan some baby pics to post πŸ™‚

i also get braxton hicks after I O, but we’ve been taking things pretty slow these last 2 times and luckily no cramping/pain πŸ™‚

@tracylesq:  men can be so dense, at the reception for the wedding we were both in Darling Husband kept pulling me out to the dance floor to dance, i was having a good time but towards the end the aches and pains started kicking in so lets just say i was in no mood/state to do the twist, anywho Darling Husband got mad at me saying I was no fun and didnt get why i no longer wanted to dance. uh hello! baby in there, ligament pains, swollen ankles and feet, a dress with boning digging into my stomach and he still has to ask? i called him a jerk for being so inconsiderate of what  i was feeling as if i was making it all up just to get out of dancing and him having a good time, after like 10 min he apologized. I think they just forget since its not them thats experiencing any physical changes. i hope your Darling Husband comes to his senses quickly!

@mtnhoney:  aww cute belly pics

@pmerr:  thats great you’re able to take your classes now, i still haven’t signed up for anything. my ob says that at my next visit (i’ll be 25weeks) she’ll give me all the hospital forms/birthing class info i’ll need. I think they actually offer these classes once a month at their location.

so now that im 22 weeks i feel baby boy moving allll the time! hes such an energetic one that so far 2 co workers, my sister, my son and Darling Husband have all been able to feel huge kicks from him. last night it was 1am and i just could not fall asleep from how active he was, its like i felt him actually moving his whole body around as well as kicking it was so strange it kept making me laugh. i told him it was time to go sleep cuz mama had work in the morning. I think now that Darling Husband has felt the baby its become more real for him, he has started giving my stomach kisses before bed and when we wake up, its the sweetest thing πŸ™‚

@CircleFace:  Yeah, I didn’t want to take them this early (it’s a 5 week class for 2 hours), but we can’t do them next month with those dates. I am also going to look into taking a breastfeeding class through the hospital once we get a little closer.

@pmerr and  @CircleFace Due to DH’s schedule we signed up for a babymoon, which is a Saturday and Sunday all day instead of the 6 weeks of 2 hours but those will be in August. I also signed up for a Breastfeeding class in August as well.  I had to sign up for those all back in MArch/April since they fill up so fast around here.

@MrsRose:  wow thats crazy, i had asked my dr at 20 weeks if she could recommend any places in particular and she told me she usually discusses that at 24-26 weeks so I kinda let it go at that. i hope i’m not too late to sign up!

Just got back from the specialist and am feeling much better.  We did a higher level ultrasound, and he saw the spot on her heart, but didn’t see any other markers for an abnormality.  Apparently these bright spots show up in 5% of babies without any abnormalities, and 25% of babies with Downs.  One marker alone increases our risk slightly, but really not by much. We may still do a follow up blood test that could tell us fairly certainly, but we’re still debating on that.

@angelicwink:  glad to hear that was the only thing they found nd praying its nothing and all is fine. i think i’d have a tough time deciding which way to go too but have to admit getting the blood test done would give you peace of mind. ::hugs::

@CircleFace:  I got information on the birthing classes at my first appointment.  I’m actually supposed to start signing up by now to start taking them around 30 weeks.  I need to get on that.  This past week or so I’ve started feeling baby every day.  It’s so exciting.

@CircleFace:  I guess I hadn’t really said anything to my husband all week about it so he seemed a little disappointed to find out I’ve been feeling the baby.  To be fair, he’s not around much and we’ve been dealing with the broken AC all week.

@tracylesq:  i can see why he’d be a bit disappointed but to be honest my Darling Husband didnt even feel LO’s kicks until about 2 weeks after I started feeling it, which kinda annoyed me because i’d say ”do you feel it he just did it?!”, he’d say no and not look all that enthused or patient to leave his hand there for a while. How’d the AC situation pan out? I dunno about NJ but it started to get cooler here in NY now with all the rain so I didnt need to turn on the AC’s last night.
