I will hit the 5 month mark on the twentieth wow wow wow. This last 7 months flew by.  I have almost all of the major things done or booked: caterer, dj, officiant, venue, dress, veil, some jewelry. Cake tasting is May 4th. Photographer needs booking, shuttle, room block reservation for the many partier type friends and family attending the wedding and shoes are all this month. I have bought and planned out my DIY projects: Invitations, bouquets, centerpieces, card box, arch are all underway and in progress. I have finished my wishing tree, cake topper and save the dates went out already a few months ago. I always feel I am ahead of the game until someone posts how little time is left lmao. Then a month ago my daughter tells me that she is getting married in May and I need to help her plan, do her invitations, go dress shopping for her and add a mother of the bride dress to my list etc, so some of my things have taken a backseat. Still on track but hectic planning and projects these days. KristenD9:  sorry forgot to tag you πŸ™‚

I’m sure I’m forgetting something, but it’s getting down to the wire! I’m hoping to knock out the big stuff like Cake, Dj, and tuxes by this month! So exciting!

Is it starting to feel stressful to anyone else? Up til now I’ve felt under control, all of a sudden in the last week or so it just feels like details are piling up.

Still need: Invitations (99% decided to use Wedding Paper Divas)

Linens (Probably efavormart)

Meet with pastor, DJ and ceremony musicians

Arrange rehearsal/dinner (Just found out venue is not available night before)

Figure out timing/order of everything

Plan shots for photographer

Finish DIY decor – seating chart, arch/ceremony decor

-Finding all small objects – signage, ribbons, cake stands, guestbook, etc.

Is it really 5 months?  Lol, wow.  e_e;

No stress yet here.  Just little details left now.  And some things (like seating charts) that I can’t do until much closer.

I’m starting to get stressed πŸ™ So many things feel like they are slipping through the cracks and I’m really upset that our Save-The-Date Cards just went out this week. We had to reschedule our engagement pictures like 4 times and they got pushed back literally months. I just hope it doesn’t affect our attendance rate. On the bright side, I just met with my florist and we decided on our flowers and they are amaaaazing! It’s going to be so beautiful!

Things I’ve done:

Save the Dates

Wedding website

Room blocks

Need to do:

Pick a coordinator (down to the final 2 contenders)

Finalize registries

Bridesmaid dresses

Veil/hair accessories

Groom and groomsman attire

Flower girl/ring bearer outfits

Hair and makeup

All day of paper – escort cards, programs

Music for ceremony and reception

Miscellaneous decor (candles, card box etc)

Rehearsal dinner venue

I’ve only been engaged 2 months.  We have the venue, caterer, and photographer.  50% deposit on all three.  I have the dress at home (bought off the rack).  It will need alterations when it gets closer.  I have a hair trial next week.  I did one makeup trial.  I am sending out Save the Dates right now.

We need to go to the tux shop for the groom.  No bridal party.  Except ring bearer and flower girls.  So ring bearer needs tux and girls need dresses.  We are doing video invitations online with printed invitations going out with the website on them.  So we still have to record all those invitations and then print and mail.  I have the stationery already.  We don’t know yet about DJ.  My uncle is working on his piano music for the ceremony, I need to pick out each song still.  Need to start the alter, it will be made by us.  I do laser cutting and he does woodwork.  Need to reserve more chairs to rent. All the linens and place settings are available at the venue.  Drinks will be chosen and bought later.  I have bought a lot of materials for centerpieces already.

I feel on track, but you guys are ahead of me.

Wowwww this makes me feel even more behind! I have some things done, but I really need to get moving with everything else. Hoping to find/book a florist, dj, and limo company within the next month. I think I will feel alot better once I have that done! My dress and the bridesmaids dresses are all in so I need to go pick those up soon. Going to order the flower girl dresses (found some cute ones) within the next 2-3 weeks. I have my card box started, still have to finish that too! So many little projects here and there!

I also just purchased my wedding band, and we decided on FI’s band! Just have to order his! πŸ™‚

I’m starting to feel stressed too!  I’m going to make a list of things that need to get done and do my best to accomplish them.  That’s all we can ask for, right?  Good luck to us all  πŸ™‚

I was incredibly stressed about 2 months ago and had a mini panic attack, but since then it’s all been one thing at a time! We were engaged on Christmas 2013 and I knew I wanted to get married in 2014, so our date is 9/20/14 and here’s what we have done and have left to do:

– venue (includes all food/tables/linens/bar service/cake)

– photographer booked (& engagement session booked)

– DJ booked

– Justice of the Peace booked

– Florist booked

– my dress ordered & in!

– bridesmaid dresses ordered

– STD’s sent

– invites ordered & in, ready to be put together

– registries complete (we think…)

– found rehearsal dinner location

– hotel room block booked

– my shoes purchased

To Do:

– hair and makeup trials (2 separate people)

– FI/groomsmen/ring bearer tuxes

– MOB dress shopping

– hair/veil/jewelry/accessories need to be found & purchased

– transportation

– find location for the first look/bridal party photos before ceremony

– all the little odds and ends before – DIY stuff, guest book, signage, seating chart

– OH! almost forgot the honeymoon – ongoing progress, but we found a location, now if only the people would get back to me to answer my questions we could finalize it!

Reading through all the posts it’s interesting to see what others have done and haven’t done. My fiance cared about the food and I cared about a photographer, so after we booked our venue, the photographer was my next stop, then the DJ – because I want people to have a good time! But a co-worker of mine is getting married a month before me and booked their band almost 2 months after I booked my DJ. It’s funny how you find that certain dates are more popular than others! Good luck to all my month twins in your planning! Coming close to the double digits!!

KristenD9:  I still have to book catering and cake.  I feel like I’m doing ok with planning but at the same time I feel like I’m behind.  I just ordered STD’s the other day, 2 weeks ago we finally had our engagement pictures done.  My bridesmaids all ordered their dresses a few weeks ago and then Friday I find out one of my bridesmaids is pregnant and due in December.  She’s insisting on wearing the same dress we already picked out in a larger size so its going to be a rush to get it exchanged.  I’m taking it one day at a time and trying not to get stressed out but sometimes its hard lol.
