Also, anybody else craving meat? I could care less about sweets, veggies, and carbs right now. I want to swim in hamburgers.

@PatientBee:  We haven’t told many people yet either. I told my mom the day after I found out because I had a dentist appointment the next week and she works at my dentist office. I told my sister a couple days later because I want to use her OB/GYN and had some question. The other lady at my dentist office guessed it right away because she is psychic. She said we are having a boy. Because of our history of miscarriage we aren’t telling the rest of our family until after our first doctor appointment in 3 weeks. It’s killing me to wait that long to tell some of my best friends but that is the deal the DH and I made.

@WillowB:  My betas at 14 dpo were 450.  I am going in for another blood draw at 21 dpo next week.  I wonder why my doc wanted to seperate the testing by a week, it seems everyone else (that I have seen on other forums) only had a couple of days between tests.

@atlbride2013:  Not meat – I’m craving these spring rolls filled with water chestnuts. I have had 3/4 of a box of 16 in less than 2 days!

atlbride2013  I want blacken salmon. I think I could eat it everyday…but I think there is some pregnancy and  fish rule. So I’ll ask my Dr after the first appt. But I’m thinking about it all day everyday. YUM!!

Anyone else feel all kings of muscle pains in your abdomen? It’s really annoying.

I’ve got a drs appt Monday to get results of my blood test from Tuesday (find out my beta hcg level) and hopefully convince her to allow me an ultrasound sooner.

@NLbride:  Yes! Yesterday I had REALLY sharp pains in my lower right side..near the hip bone.  No blood or spotting.  Today nothing, just little crampy pinches in the middle, which I’ve had since before my BFP. I know those are normal.

I also get round ligament pain when I sneeze.

@BellaDee:  I think some of mine might be gas pains (sorry, TMI?) but I’ve had pretty regular pains. Sometimes they’re more noticeable on the left side, but mostly right across.

@NLbride:  One day last week the sides of my abdomen were sore all evening like I had done a ton of sit ups. Not painful but achey. They only lasted a little bit that night and I haven’t had them since. I have had alot of uncomfortable gas and bloating though.

Ok. Confession. Since being pregnant I have never wished so much that I worked. I had to leave my job (teacher – elem and middle school) when I moved to the US because of my visa status – I am hoping to get my work permit in the next month or so, but, as a teacher, the next school year is obviously out. I am in the middle of my masters, but because I am on the New Zealand calendar, it is summer vacation there. so I am a lump who doesn’t work and doesn’t currently have class.

Which gives me endless long hours to sit at home and have nothing else to focus on except that I am pregnant! I would give anything right now to be able to go and hang out with a class of kids. We could discuss some awesome concepts in social studies, and explore new math ideas and have so much fun (ok. rose coloured glasses here). Instead I’m sitting at home trying to rehash my proposal. Yet I know if I were actually working I would be so jealous of sit at home me.

Had my first appointment today at 5 weeks, 4 days. It was fairly uneventful as baby is super small still and no chance if heart beat or anything yet. Only major thing is we talked about some specialists I need to see later in pregnancy to check babys heart since my dh was born with a heart defect.

Also, my uterus has been more tender lately so the exam was super uncomfortable with her pushing on it to feel everything. I get to schedule my ultrasound for 2 1/2 weeks from now though, I’m pretty excited about that appointment!

Drs visits always make me nervous, all I want to do now is take a nap.

@farawayviolet:  I understand that. Working is hard, especially since I’m extra tired, but I like how time passes faster and that I have something to help distract me from constant obsession over my pregnancy.
