FreckledFox:  I hope you are resting well today. I’ve been thinking of you and with so many mamas finding out gender was wondering when you will get to find out what baby fox is? I know you’re going to specialists and drs a lot right now. Just wondering if you have an anatomy scan scheduled and if you and Darling Husband still plan to do your envelope reveal with him telling you what baby is? (I hope you see this, I know you don’t get notifications a lot and haven’t been on this thread recently, just know we are still thinking and praying for you here in the September Mama’s Camp!)

X0JLYNN03:  We have the opposite.  I don’t think we will get much from family in the form of diapers or clothes…which is fine, but after our shower I doubt we will get anything from anyone.  All of our friends all have kids already, we waited a little longer than most b/c we wanted to be financially stable, and wanted to save up first…and our families have already had the opportunity to spoil grand children and our parents are all getting ready to retire so they are watching their money, lol.  At least we are financially sound and able to buy all the things our baby needs ๐Ÿ™‚

MrsFairyBee:  Hii! I did turn off notifications from this group, but not Facebook so I’ve been stalking a little. I am resting today. Watched all of season 2 of Orphan Black. Great show! Our anatomy scan is/was scheduled for 4/28 with my obgyn and the first specialist, but if we go with the second one, they might have us make another appt. We will be finding out, and I still want Darling Husband to tell me. Changing doctors has disrupted that process though! Thanks for checking in on me, and for everyone’s support. ๐Ÿ™‚

X0JLYNN03:  It’s awesome that your mom is so excited and buying so much ๐Ÿ™‚  I wish we had the same, but glad that we can afford to get what we need, but free is always better, lol ๐Ÿ™‚  let them keep spoiling the baby!!  Plus presents are so fun!  I guess I just wish our families were more excited about our little one.  They are excited, but not overly excited, makes me a little sad…

PS – I hope i didn’t make it sound or imply that I think you can’t provide for your kid and that’s why your parents are helping you out…I re-read my comment and thought it might have come across wrong.  I’m just sad our familes aren’t as excited as everyone elses seem to be.  No gifts for us yet, pitty party for me, lol.

So it figures after ordering the doppler yesterday, today I’m feeling flutters and bubbles and baby rolling around non-stop.  Or at least I think it’s the baby.  Really wish it was more obvious…

kellynn323:  I am also experiencing the not-as-excited grandparents.  I emailed my parents to tell them the sex and they didn’t respond for two weeks, even though they said they got the email and emailed me about unrelated things.  I don’t think we’ll have anyone offering to buy us stuff or randomly gift us clothes out of excitement which is fine but… In some ways Dh and I are unlucky.  Not the first on either side but also timed too closely with other births that there aren’t any hand-me-downs.

It is fine though, just might be a little more exciting if other people also acted excited.

jenspadiva:  It’s kind of a bummer when family isn’t super excited.  I’m the oldest so I always thought I would have the first grand baby on my side, but all my unmarried younger sisters (I have 3 of them) have children, and not just one each..there’s 5 total!!  And both boys and girls, and DH’s sister just had a baby boy 3 months ago, they had a baby girl 4 years ago and that was super exciting for everyone, but we just aren’t getting the same response.  It makes me sad.  But we will have lots of hand-me-downs.
