We did! We stayed at Bucuti and Tara this past June and it was gorgeous, I’d go back tomorrow if I could. The area where Bucuti is is a bit quieter than the area they call downtown, which has a lot of the all inclusive chain hotels so it depends what you’d prefer.

The weather was lovely, really hot but it’s always quite windy there so there’s a breeze. It felt really safe and there was loads to do. An off road jeep tour of the island which ended with snorkelling was our highlight. Would definitely recommend it.

We were just there for our honeymoon in June and loved it! We stayed on the adult only side of the Renaissance Aruba Resort in Oranjestad. It was amazing! Gorgeous hotel and they had their own private island with flamingoes and iguanas you can hand feed and pet. And the boat to the private island picks you up in the hotel lobby.

Downtown oranjestad is also really safe and easy to walk around. It’s also a pretty quick ride to the airport so you’re first to be dropped off if you chose to take one of the shuttles.

We didn’t honeymoon there but my sister just got married there in October, it was absolutely amazing! We stayed at the Marriot – Stellaris Casino. 35 of our friends and family went and we all stayed there. The hotel was very nice! It was towards the end of the island so it was quieter and right next door its the Ritz (which had nobody on the beach). The pool, hot tub and swim up bar are awesome and theres volleyball in the pool. The only problem was all of us wanted to swim and play volleyball at night since its still so hot and we kept getting yelled at for being too loud. I stayed on the second floor facing the pool (still had an ocean view) and the balcony doors did not keep much noise out… but we went to bed so late anyways it wasnt a problem.

If you do end up going to the Mariott, be sure to sign up for a Palapa! They are so nice to have when spending the day at the beach (a way to get out of the hot sun). It’s also very windy there but feels good and makes the heat barable.

My sisters had her rehersal dinner at Moomba’s which is right on the beach and I definitely suggest going there for lunch/dinner! As well as Madame Janette’s! Its an indoor/outdoor resturant and the bread is soo good! Be sure to sit outside under the lights, makes the whole experince so nice.

One suggestion is to not come and go on weekends, specifically Saturday. Majority of us left on a Saturday and the airport was so packed!

You definitely will not regret going to Aruba! I want to go back so bad!

I also suggest the De Palm sunset cruise and Island day! You will not regret those!
