@TeachMeHowToDuggan:

Nothing like a Southern plantation wedding! I can’t wait to see pictures (eventually!). Enjoy your engagement party!

@anna4041:

for my centerpieces I am going totaly cheap and simple.

– I am gathering all the bright red fall leaves I can find now, and pressing them flat.

– I am going to buy a bunch of Balls dimond cut style mason jars and white votive candles to go inside them.

– I will arrange a few(4-5) leaves on the table, overlapping and put the mason jar in the center of them.

-Voila! Simple, effective, and most importantly-Cheap!

I’m September 29th too! We’re getting married in my hometown- which is super tiny and rural. The church we’re getting married in though is 250 years old and amazing.

This is another wedding at my church.

The reception is in a big chruch hall (not my first choice…but fit the budget!)- so we’re trying to do a lot of details to make it not feel so much like a giant reception hall. Our colors are eggplant puprle, champagne and yellow- with the main flowers being sunflowers! Don’t want to make it too country- but just want a fun, casual feel with good food (my dad is providing the caterer all his own recipes and we’re doing a hog roast) and good music (a live band).

We’re getting married the 29th also!

Our theme is also a rustic elegance. I’m gathering mason jars, antiques, etc.. We’re getting married outdoors under a 1000 year old oak tree. Our colors are navy blue, brown, and ivory.

We have not dicussed the menu with our venue but we’re most certainly aiming for BBQ.

I can officially say I’m a September 29th bee!  Finally got the go-ahead from our church about the date. Can finally book the venue.  Our venue will be at an outdoor Golf Club Patio.  I guess our theme would just be classified as “casual”.  We will be having Pizza,Pasta and Salad and buckets of beer for our centerpieces.  I know some people will say its redneck or ghetto or tacky or whatever. I don’t care. Its what we want and what we think most of our guests will enjoy and I can’t wait!!! The views are gorgeous from the patio.  the golf course greens along with the beautiful Sandia Mountain Range…

Hi. me too…. We’re getting married in NYC onboard the Yacht Star of America – ceremony onboard during the sunset, then continuing the night cruising around Manhattan skyline.

Black tie… and also a FULL MOON … how lucky were we to get that!!!  I read that on another post, and immediately had to check our date and full moon is officially on 30 SEP 2012, but that is close enuf Smile

Quickie ceremony, so we can get on to lots of partying.

Colors – just finalized to eggplant and fuchsia  (meaning… dark purple and hot pink).

I’m super excited, this is my 2nd go… but my first one was a very practical immediate family only backyard wedding… no special dress etc.

NOW, I’m going all out with all the bridal pampering and shopping!!!

We’re getting married (September 29th) on the beach in Miami, Fl at 9:00 in the morning (I’m a morning person) and we are having our reception in our hometown.  My colors are orange and fushia (I could careless about the colors of the season, it’s what I love) and are having a romantic beach theme reception as soon as I find a venue.  We have the beach theme wedding and reception and the honeymoon will be a caribbean cruise after hurricane season.  I really wanted a brunch reception or a reception with close friends and family but my family is too large and I would never hear the end of it.

Getting married in Utica/Shelby MI on september 29th. My colors are Navy and Kelly Green. My Fiance and I are trying to do something fun and “different” without being too much so. We’re having about 200-225 at the wedding, which is at a gorgeous banquet hall. 🙂

Yay 9/29 brides!

I am getting married in Upstate NY in the fingerlakes at an old Castle turned into a reresort:

We are also going for a rustic but glam theme, kind of whimsical castle meets laid back lake life.  Our main color is a berry hue or sangria as I like to call it.  WE are doing lots of white birch and candle and large bloom flowers like dhalias and old garden rosed mixed with moss and greenery as well as succulents.  My gilrs are in long flowy chiffon gowns in a raspberry color, and the men will be in Slate gray tuxes.  It’s fairly large wedding at 250+ people.  Fiance is making all the birch candle holders and vases himself in his dads woodshop barn with wood we cut down on a friends’ property here localy.  The best part is that we are trading the birch to our florist after the wedding in exchange for her services.  (we’ll keep a little but he’s making 500 candle holders so I’ll be glad not to hae to store that)

Another 9-29 bride here!

Our wedding is quickly getting out of hand. We’re marrying here in my hometown (where we live) which is a beach/resort town but we are NOT having a beach wedding. Colors are purple/gold, and very elegant. We’re expecting around 300. Ceremony at a private residence overlooking the water, and reception at an open air pavilion at our marina & yacht club. As a wedding photographer myself, I feel very blessed to have so many of my fellow vendors contributing and going above and beyond for my wedding.

We’re getting married on September 29, 2012 also!

The ceremony will be at Rippavilla Plantation, just outside of Nashville, TN.

We are doing a black & white damask color scheme with hot pink accents. The bridesmaids will wear black dresses and carry hot pink roses. My fiance grew up in Nashville and I’m from Michigan. Most of our guests will be traveling from Michigan and Indiana so we’re going to do a southern themed buffet for dinner. We’re also making out of town bags for our guests that will have some Tennessee treats inside as well as a note from us, welcoming them to our state and thanking them for traveling to celebrate with us on our big day.

I am really excited!!

Yet another September 29th bride!  My fiance and his family and a bunch of our friends from Australia are coming out to California for our wedding.  We are getting married in our family friends’ backyard with a sweeping view of the Monterey Bay behind us.  We’re doing burlap, bbq, and billy buttons.  The colors are navy, bright yellow, and tan.

I’m excited to be getting married after 7 years of dating/engagement and excited to show my fiance’s family and our friends all around the great place I grew up in!

Septmeber 29th Bride here!!  I love all the pictures!!  Where I live there isn’t much scenery and it seems boring to me!  It’s flat and dry here…anyways my colors are purple, black and ivory. I am going for the Romantic theme (although I’m not too sure about theme yet I guess. I’m not very creative.) My FI’s aunt owns a Mexican restaurant so we are doing mexican food, haven’t finalized the menu yet.

We’re getting hitched on Sept. 29 at The Condor’s Nest Ranch in Pala, CA! Planning all the way from Seattle so it’s been interesting, but fun!  Love this place b/c you can stay at the house the night of the wedding.  Theme is fall feast with long tables, lanterns, garland, and a jazz band. Woo hoo!
