Hi! Seven months?! I haven’t started getting overwhelmed and overly stressed yet. But slowly and surely I have bouts of “OMG! WHAT! I HAVE SO MANY THINGS TO DO.”

I have the big ticket items set already. Venue. Photog (not planning on having a videographer). Photobooth. Wedding dress.

Slowly working down the checklist. Save the dates (planning on doing that electronically). Website. Invites. The list goes on.

I think one of my concerns right now is my decorations – as I am doing a lot of DIY decorations while trying to not overwhelm myself. Thankful for a crafty fiance as well, so he helps me collects scour thrift stores for jars, tins, candle holders, picture frames. etc.! I ALSO am trying to find tall glass vases to hold water and floating candles (I need about 100. I know. I’m crazy. I’ve accepted it.). I have been trying to see if renting is any cheaper….but most sites I find (in the Chicagoland area) is about $5-8 to rent ONE vase. So currently trying to see my options. WHY DOES EVERYTHING ADD UP SO FAST AND SO EASILY!!!! 😛

Keep it up everyone! Let’s make this as fun and stress-less as possible! 😀

MrsPhishBee:  I agree with the vases! I’ll count up what I think I need and I come up with like 120 of them…that seems like a lot.

I also keep going back and forth about the centerpieces. I am making them myself two days before the wedding. I want them to be nice but I worry I’m going to overwhelm myself.

Ah…one more thing….ceremony decorations. Our ceremony is going to be about 40 minutes. It’s the most very important part of the day but I am hesitant to spend money on ceremony decorations. It’s rather frustrating. I know some ceremony decoration will be moved into the reception area but….I dont know…just but.

ChristinaC598:  I think at this point, I’m open to any and all options because everything is SO expensive!! I know the Dollar Store has a some clear, glass vases – but they are relatively shorter. I did want at least some vases taller than 12 inches. I plan on having mismatched heights in vases so I’m just trying to find taller ones now. How about you?

MrsPhishBee:  7 Months!!! EEEKKKK!!!! How did that happen so quickly! We’re getting so close! I tried on my wedding dress for the first time since I purchased it the other day and it is too big on me. A good problem to have I guess!! My wedding shoes came in the other day. 🙂 I’ve been prancing around our apartment with them on every night. My Fiance is really enjoying the show!

futurexuekeeper:  I am going to buy mine from the dollar store. If you order them online they will ship them to a store for pickup. (**TIP** order them so you have the boxes that they fit in. It’ll make transporting them and packing up at the end of the night easier) I am sticking with the 9″ ones from the dollar store so they aren’t too tall on the tables. I will be getting some tr allre ones for the escort card table.

MrsPhishBee:  I like those with the stand! I may get some of those for the escort card table. I am going to start making trips to Hobby Lobby to buy things one at a time to use coupons.

MrsPhishBee:  that’s kinda what I plan for the head table too…plus some vases for the bouquets to go in.

**TIP** when using the floating candles place them in the vases of water right before you light them….the longer they sit without being lit the harder they are to light. The wick absorbs water as it evaporates.

I’m so excited!!! I can’t wait I have most of the big stuff done. We still have to pick out the guys outfits, send out save the dates, pick out invites, get my veil, finishing my registration, plan honeymoon, pick out a cake, and think about decorations. Now that I write it all down I’m getting overwhelmed!!! I’m debating whether to do a candy bar. my friend has all the containers I would just need candy we already have a photo booth as well. what do you guys think?

Mrsmello2015:  Seems like you are on track! I was talking to my mom the other day about my veil, she is going to make it…it seems like it is going to cost just as much to make it as buying one…I need to revisit the veil situation.

MrsPhishBee:  Ah…now that I am on my computer and the photo is bigger I see the sticker on the bottom of the vases. How are you going to attach the candlesticks and vases together?
