Anyone else a September 7th bride?? I really havent’ done much yet except booked the church. Haven’t started looking at venues yet, but going to a party in a few weeks at one venue that we are considering so that will help with our decision. Also, will probably wait until the one year mark to start looking for a dress but have decided on navy and periwnkle for our colors.
What have you ladies done so far?

I am a September 7th, 2013 bride as well!! I have booked the church, the venue, and the photographer so far. My colors will hopefully be yellow and coral, but may change my mind before that. I’ve also asked my best friend to be my maid of honor and know who my braidsmaids will be. I feel like I’ve gotten off to a good start so far. As far as looking for a dress, I will probably start in the next couple of months. Who knows how long it will take me to pick out the perfect dress…I am very indecisive.

We’ve booked the venue and caterer. Later this month, we start interviewing photographers. I bought my dress on a complete whim last month. And we’ve let our bridal party know who they are.

I’m joining in, even though I’m the 21st. We’re looking into venues right now, and I’ve contacted our photographer [waiting to book them until we have the venue]. I have my dress, and we’re saving things for our centerpieces already. I mostly just research things online like companies to use for our linens, and I’ve already got all the paper picked out for the invites [that I’ve designed]. I think I’m doing pretty well, really. I hope having a longer engagement pays off as far as planning and saving.

Update: My colors have changed to navy and a pomegranate/coral color. My Maid/Matron of Honor and I were playing with colors online and I like this combination a lot better.

Yah September 7th!! I’ve booked my venue and photographer so far, next will be the officiant. While I love the fall and the cooler weather(I hate being hot especially in a giant white dress!) I’m not a huge fan of fall colours for my wedding scheme…bridesmaid dresses, flowers etc. so I’m going with Black, silver, and purple. Luckily the leaves won’t have really changed colour yet so the pics won’t clash:)

I’m also a September 7, 2013 bride! We have made our appointment to check out a resort on July 5th (as our venue for the wedding and reception). We decided to make a little getaway out of it so we’ll be stayed there that night and hanging out by the pool the following morning. Should be fun! We have looked at different photographers around town and have come up with a general theme. We want everything to be outdoors. I have gotten a lot of cute DIY project ideas fom this website which got my creative juices flowing. Looking forward to it!
I’m glad we have this much time so we will not be too stressed out with all of the planning. Anyone hiring a wedding planner?
@HollyGuinness: You’re on top of it!!

September 8th bride here! We are having a cruise wedding! So our wedding ceremony and reception will take place on the ship. We just booked everything last week, and booked the DJ yesterday! So for the most part, everything is all booked.
We are also hosting a pre-wedding dinner for our guests the night before, so we still need to book or reserve a room but we won’t be doing that until next year sometime.

Yay for so many date twins!
We have our venue booked (ceremony and reception at the same place), photographer booked, florist booked, and caterer and DJ pretty well decided but not booked yet. We have our wedding party all decided and asked. I ordered my dress last week after falling in love with it at my first dress appointment (then subsequently going to a number of other dress shops to make sure I wasn’t just picking the first one I liked… but no, nothing else compared!). We have colors all picked – we’re doing navy blue with fall accents – mostly oranges with some yellows and dark reds thrown in.
A lot of things came together very easily for us as I started planning (we fell in love with the first venue we saw after much research, our next-door neighbor is an unbelievable and acclaimed florist, etc.), so we have a lot more done than I was ever expecting this far out. However, I’m not complaining, because now I just get to play with decorations and details and fun stuff for a while! 🙂

i am September 7th, 2013 bride too!! 🙂 I’ve been engaged for two weeks now and we have decided to have the wedding in my father’s backyard. I think I’ve decided on steel blue, apple green and silver as our wedding colors.
I’ve already become obsessed with wedding planning and I love it!

We just got confirmation from our ceremony venue, so now I can officially be a Sept.7, 2012 bride too. We have the ceremony venue, reception venue and my dress. We’re only doing one Maid/Matron of Honor and best man. No official colours but I want lots of light coral, peachy-pink, a little yellow and champagne. My e-ring stone is yellow sapphire and my dress has a stripe of peachy-pink at the bottom.
I feel like all the big things are in place, which is good as I have this month off, then school straight until the wedding.

We have the church booked, venue booked, and photographer booked. I have been purchasing and making some decorations all ready. Our colors are coral for Bridesmaid or Best Man, guys in gray, and I’m throwing in some purple, green, and ivory in the decor along with the coral and gray.
