Yay! Another Sept bride! 🙂
We sent out our STD’s instead of Christmas cards. I was going to skip them, but we’re getting married on a holiday weekend (9/5= Labor Day) so we wanted to make sure people knew about it before they made plans.
I think 3 months is a good timeframe for invitations because remember you’ll have to chase down some people to get their RSVP’s and then once you have them, make seating charts, etc.

We sent ours out in mid March, right around the 6 month mark. We’re doing a Friday wedding, so we wanted people to have a little more advance notice. And I also just wanted to be able to cross them off my to-do list 🙂

I sent mine out at the beginning of February. I have a lot of people coming from out of the country. I plan on sending my invites out at the end of June for the same reason.

YAY for September brides! We’re getting married the 18th and we sent our STD’d in November. But that’s because we are having a destination wedding and all the trips need to be booked and paid for by August 1st. We wanted to give people enough notice and time to pay and plan the trip.

I sent my Save-The-Date Cards out in mid-February – but most of my family lives at least 5 hours away. I’ll be sending the actual invites out 8 weeks before the event (I think standard etiquette is 6-8 weeks).

I sent Save-The-Date Cards out to those who would have to travel in mid February. For invites I’m thinking about 2 months before the date – 3 months seems super early to me.

We sent ours out aaround the 6 month mark. We’re going to do our wedding invites at the 3 month mark because my RSVP date is about a month before the wedding.

We didn’t do Save-The-Date Cards. We sent out an email about the hotels, etc about a month ago when we blocked things off (September is the BUSIEST month for the hotel we blocked off, so we wanted to make sure people booked early) and we’ve let all our family/friends know our date. We’re too excited to keep it a secret 😉 If we were getting married a week earlier on the long weekend we definitely would have sent out Save-The-Date Cards, but since we’re not, we didn’t! Our invites will be going out at the beginning of June.
