Where are you at in your planning? What do you have left to do, or what are you late on doing?
i feel like september is coming so fast. I wanted our invites out the beginning of June but we realized last night that we still have 10 more to make! so, i want to have them out NEXT MONDAY. no later.
I feel like i have no time to finish everything. I think this is where the hard part is coming. we have to do our tasting on July 3rd(after the invites are out), the venue had no sooner date to do this. So, i had to make a wedding website for our guests to RSVP, but i had to explain that they couldn’t RSVP until our meal choices were ready.
We still have to finish buying stuff for our centerpieces, and decor. We have to now start thinking about our Ceremony wording. We JUST got our officiant. We still need to go get my ring. I haven’t booked for my hair/make up yet. I still need to find my necklace. I still need my dress altered, should be next week. Still need to finish my song list for my ipod and download all the songs etc. Still need to do the seating chart and seating floor plan.
Ugh…. i’m sure there’s more.

@RockStar33: You’re ahead of me…and mine’s before yours. Our invites aren’t going out until July 5th…haven’t booked hair or makeup yet…my first dress fitting isn’t until July 28th…we got our rings, but I’m still working on shoes and jewelry…why not have send your invites out after the tasting so they’re not having to reply twice?

Because i want to give them enough time to book the time if they need to, and book the hotel rooms etc. 95% of our guests are from out of town. Also, they won’t be replying twice. The website is set up for RSVPs as well as meal choices, they just can’t RSVP until they can pick the meal. They will need to check back to the website periodically anyway for updates etc.
PLUS, they need to book rooms ASAP because that’s the week the TIFF(Toronto International Film Festival) is ending, and hotel rooms will be very limited. so i’d like them to be able to book as soon as they can.

invites are out, welcome bags are in, first alteration is this next tuesday and we still need to get his tux. I still have to make our “thanks for being a part of our special day” notes for the welcome bags. Just have the little loose ends to tie up but I am feeling pretty good about it all.

@RockStar33: I’m planning to send our invites out next week. (Haven’t received those yet!) So, that guests have two months to figure it out if they can come or not. My dress fitting is July 25; cake tasting is July 15th; and, I need to meet with the florist next wk. I also need to order supplies for our centerpieces. Venue, hotel block, transportation, hair/makeup, bridesmaid dresses, DJ, and church is all set, though. So many things to get done!

We will be sending out invites out by the end of next week, just need to get stamps! I guess I could say I am doing ok with the planning, but I still feel so far behind! I still need to find/ jewelry to wear, flower girl baskets, ring bearer pillows, gifts for the entire bridal party, decide on what flower colors I am going with. I started purchasing blank programs ( because I have someone to print them for me), still need to purchase rehersal dinner invitations, guest welcome bags, items for welcome bags. I have not set up my first hair trail yet, I have so many pictures of ideas for my updo. Our taste testing has been completed, we just need to set up an appointment for the cake testing. Also, I still need to order votives for reception tables, purchase the rest of material for cocktial hour centerpieces. and most importantly…we need to decide on our rings and purchase them! we have not done that yet!
I go for my first fitting July 14, as well as my first makeup trail. My cermony readings are pretty much chosen, as well as the officiant. I just need to get a hold of my singer for the church, reception music is pretty much set, we are just waiting for the music book to come in to get together a list for them. Transportation; we are still in the mist of figuring out definite pick up and drop off times, but we do have the package all set and booked. Registry is complete. The groomsmen are registered and all set, bridesmaids dresses are scheduled to come in next month, flower girls – august, and mothers just ordered their dresses! last minute, but they are scheduled to be in on time! Ooh the stress already! I cant imagine the next few months! good luck to all !

We really just have odds and ends to do: final catering and cake tastings (next week), pick up the license (application is in and approved, just need to actually go downtown and fetch it), gm gifts (bm’s are picked out), finish DJ requests, a small printing order, a couple details for the tabletops. All the vendors are hired. Waiting for dress to arrive. Seriously if we stopped planning today, we could make do on what we’ve got.
It’s a good feeling. I just regret that all the drama we’ve bypassed in the planning has manifested in the bachelorette night (hotel screwed up the room bookings, resulting in girls who really don’t know each other sharing a room with one bed, and the spa hosting the spa party has gone bankrupt, ugh).
We do have to start chasing the RSVP’s and room bookings though. Fun!
