So, September brides-to-be, how are you coming along on your wedding checklist?
This weekend I checked off a couple of things:
- Invitations mailed! Woohoo!!!!!! Fiance was a huge help with these.
- Dress tried on and it still fits (whew!). Taking for alterations (hemming mainly) tomorrow.
- CD’s for ceremony and reception burned, we’re using a laptop, speakers, etc.
Having those things taken care of is such a relief! Still have to order flowers, write vows, pay remaining balance of honeymoon beach house and get our marriage license.
But we made some progress! How about you? Did any other September brides accomplish anything over the weekend?

- Mailing all my invites in an hour or so!
- Picking up my ring this week
- Decided on flowers
- figured out Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses and Flower Girl dresses
wow it felt like more lol

Congrats on getting those invites out! It’s such a relief, isn’t it?!
This weekend FH and I went and bought a travel book and Spanish/English phrase book for our honeymoon in Costa Rica. We are so excited about it.
We also had a very serious converstation about fonts for the programs and signs. 🙂
My upcoming things are our RSVP deadline on 7/27, my first dress fitting on 7/29 and my hair trial on 8/3.
Gah! These things I’ve had on the calendar for months are actually happening!

Invite labels printing as I type, will go in the mail this week

Dress is here – I have lost 24lbs already but still need about another 15 to go to fit into it
ring bearer suits bought (going to mix and match for the little guy, he’s a 4 up top and legs a 3)
ribbon edge stiched onto my veil, attach it to hair comb this week
venue paid for
arranged 2nd photog after much internal debate

It does seem that the more I get done the more there is to do! So far I haven’t been too stressed out because we’re having a small, intimate, family-and-close-friends-only ceremony but as the time grows closer I keep remember more and more things that need to be accomplished. I really feel for you brides who are having large weddings!
@Sunfire: like help make my centrepieces kinda feel for us? :p
we’ll get there lady! (or we wont and no one will know the fabulous wedding that was planned in our heads but will have a great time anyway!!)

@Snow00774: Haha! Sure, I’ll be glad to help out, no problem. 😉
I know we’ll have everything just right for the big day. I think I’m getting a little nervouser (is that a word?) the closer it gets!
How do you build a wedding arch out of three pieces of lattice? Gulp.
@Sunfire: See – all the September brides need to live closer – I would trade you printing labels and playing with stupid doilies in a heartbeat to build an arch with 3 pieces of lattice!!!
Do you have someone to help or are you doing it all by yourself?

Ep this makes me a little nervous!
I have seating chart, finalizing the music list, finalizing the ceremony wording, ordering the flowers.
Thankfully everything else is pretty much done.

This weekend we (read: I) assembled and mailed the invites, wrote and sent out thank you cards from my bridal shower, finalized our info for the photographer (start times, ceremony details, etc.), and worked on our wedding playlist.
This week I have my first fitting (squeeeee!!!) on Thursday, but still need to find shoes (that’s tomorrow’s project). Once the RSVP’s start rolling in, we’ll start on a seating chart. Also gonna try to finalize flowers this week, pick a honeymoon destination, figure out what to do about limos, set up my hair/nail/makeup trials, and set up a time to meet with the coordinator at our venue to work out details. Also have to look into readings for the ceremony. Sigh. Thought I got a lot done this weekend but the list keeps growing!

@Snow00774: My Fiance is helping, in fact, it’s his idea. I’m thinking it won’t really be an arch but two sides and a top. The lattice is natural wood and I’m planning to decorate with white tulle and flowers. I hope it turns out ok. His two sisters (adore them!) are helping us out, too.

The big things we still need to do are: order tuxes, groomsmen gifts, marriage license, get dress bustled, decide on hair….I’m sure theres alot more. This is all I can think of right now!!
Did absolutely nothing wedding related over the weekend, but I think things are on track! I’m at the point where it’s mostly things like accessories, shot list for photos, making payments, picking up small decor components, buying wine. Stuff like that. The main thing I’m doing right now is getting really excited every time the mail comes because RSVPs are coming in!!

Oh, my goodness what I have left to do: pay off the florist, get the marriage license- I think in WA you have to wait longer- like you can’t have it for more than 1 month before the ceremony. I already mailed the invites, my dress is almost finished with alterations, I have a veil, accessories, need to do the florist “trial”, all the gifts are bought, I’m pretty ready actually. . …
