i’ve gone through a lot of ideas, one was a candy bar- but i’m lazy and the cost was too up in the air for me.

now were doing 5oz jars of apple butter and/or various other fruit butters from a local farm! very yummy, and very cost effective (which was surprising!)

we wanted something edible, but something that people would take and enjoy at home.

We ae not entirely sure yet, something kind of end of summer-ish but also want to do a donation in honor of a guest who passed away and was close to us.

I’m still not sure yet, but I’m probley going to do mints or something. Were not doing a fall theme at all, and our desert table is very chocolate themed already.

We’re donating to 2 charities. We’ll write a little note explaining it and attach a lapel pin from the charities to put at each place setting.

Our venue requires valet parking so we’re also going to ask the valets to leave a little treat (probably some cookies or something) in everyone’s car as a little extra surprise for the drive home.  ๐Ÿ™‚

We are making a charitable donation in lieu of favors. We’ll be putting an elegant note at each setting explaining our choice. FI’s dad might not make it to the ceremony, so it’ll be in honor and memory of him.

We are donating money to the venue, which is a historical building preserved as a museum. On the grounds is a planetarium, so I am making constellation magenets to give each guest because I am out of my goddamn mind.

@September29:

How many guests do you have? Also, how much are you spending on the apple/fruit butters if you don’t mind me asking? I was thinking about doing that but I figured between the butters and the jars it’d get quite pricey!

@SweetVanity:  Thanks! Here is a picture of one (out of 200, I’m doing about 12-15 different constellations). You can’t tell in the picture, but the whole thing has a navy blue sparkle to it and the stars that are part of the constellation glow in the dark.
