Man, May is already here? What?!

I really doubt I am going to get a lot accomplished in May because my fiance teaches dance (hip hop) for 2 studios and I dance with him at one of them. Our show is the first weekend in June. So I have to focus on shopping and getting my outfits ready. Plus we have practices every weekend until then. It is the worst time in the year for us. Therefore, I am hoping we can at least:

Order our cake

Revise our registry

and well..thats about it. 🙂

has anyone else been having bad wedding dreams yet. I woke up in a panic the other day. In my dream I was running around the church, with all the guests arlready seated and I was putting up the pew bows, while I kept saying. dont look at me, im in my wedding dress.. Definately need to start working on a bunch of my DIY crafts hopefully then my mind will settle

things to do this month

– make the invitations (all of the paper is purchased and has arrived, will attempt the YUDU to print them)

– order the jr. bridesmaid dress- to happen this week.

– find a florist and pick what kind of bouquets, boutineers and corsages I want.

– YUDU print on my favour boxes (part 2 of my favours, these little boxes will be filled with chocolates that my jr. bridesmaid and I are going to make. – the other part of the favours are custom printed decks of cards with our monogram on them.

– order the vellum online to make wraps for my cylinder vases- to be used as table numbers with candles in them.

– go shopping with my groom and other men to determine what they will wear.- my  groom wants to buy a nice suit.

– paint on my aisle runner.

Hopefully I will accomplish all of this in MAY, as I have soo many crafts to do

other things that are currently on my mind;

-tears of joy packets

– large centrepeices- made with silk flowers and crystals- 99% of supplies are purchased

– order the cake 🙂

– pick shoes and accesories

– find a location for wedding photos

– find a MOB dress- a very difficult task it seems

@ontariobride I just had a crazy dream the other night. It was the end of our reception and I was crying to my mom because I felt bad I didn’t go and say hello to all of the tables/guests. And because I couldn’t remember anything from the entire day!

I know everyone says the day flies by, but I hope to remember some of it!

My to-do list this month is:

pick ceremony music

cake tasting/design

finilize invite design

get started on program design

We got a lot done in the last few months, and I’m thinking it’s too early to start printing things like menus/reception signs right?

I am madly trying to get invitations out. Other than that, so far in May I have written a detailed to-do/follow up list, booked a 2nd hair trial, and collected pictures of make up for my next trial. I also got a copy of my birth certificate so that I can finally submit my passport application, that’s been bugging me for months!

I have a few other things I want to do in May: organise a date for the menu tasting; organise dates for catch ups with photographer, celebrant and DJ/MC; submit passport applications; email bridal party and friends re: accommodation; collate hens party/kitchen tea guestlist and contacts to give to my Maid/Matron of Honor.

And re:wedding nightmares, I’ve had 2 so far. They all happened about 2-3 months ago, before I had booked my flowers or hair and make up stylists. In one of them it was late on the night before my wedding when I realised I didn’t have any of those booked, and my efforts to fix the situation were just failing for bizarre reasons. The nightmares have stopped since I booked those things. I think there were two meanings to that dream, that I needed to organise those details, but also that on the day before and day of I need to just relax and let go of the planning reigns and not to get caught up in the little things.

We have our DJ, Florist, Venue, Cake, Photographer, and Videographer already booked, now we are just paying them off.

This month all I’m doing is meeting up with the DJ to discuss the day with him in further detail. I also made my trail hair appt. This month will be slow for us since we’re moving. But June is our big month!! We will order Fiance ring, order our seating scroll, finish up all DIY projects, have my first dress fitting, and order tuxes.

Weird, not one dream about dd’s wedding at all yet.  Plenty of stress dreams but always other things.

Happy today…I finally thrifted enough china dessert plates for the cake table.  Going to continue to thrift for salt and pepper shaker sets and a nice container for the unity sand ceremony.   Dd specifically doesn’t want a container with a lid that makes her think ‘nipple’ when she sees it.  ::giggle::

So far we have three rooms in the house that are growing mountains of boxes of wedding stuff.  I tried hard to consolidate but it ain’t happening.  How about your houses/apartments?  How bad do you think it will get in the next 4 months?
