emsy3110:  I feel the EXACT same way about winter…I really do like fall, but I just can’t enjoy it knowing that winter is around the corner. I’ve been running in 95+ temps the last few weeks and thinking about the polar vortex last winter keeps me going just fine! I think I need to find a place to live where the winter acts like fall and doesn’t get any colder! 🙂

laceygrace:  No idea how you enjoy the 95+ degree temps.  polar vortex was utter hell though.  I still prefer cool temps to sweating any day.

While I don’t mind the cold, and it gets VERY cold here (like consistently 5 *F and colder), I much prefer the 60-70F temperature range.  That’s where we’re sitting right now and should stay at for most of Sept…. here’s hoping.

Also, FX for some September BFP’s!

Thinking about all you early in the month POAS’ers, I’m just into week 2 of TFW, and enjoying a nightly glass of port while I still can.

jouissance:  I mean, I would prefer it to be in the low 80s/upper 70s every day, but if I had to choose between polar vortex (or even just temps below about 50) and 95+ temps, I choose 95+ any day! I swear I’m cold blooded. My biggest complaint about the summer is that people BLAST the AC everywhere and I still can’t go anywhere in shorts or even without a jacket!

laceygrace:  That would be awesome indeed if fall weather would be the winter where I live! Unfortunately for me, DH and I just moved 4 months ago to somewhere colder than where we lived before lol. I really should be going South and not North in the future!

I wanted to wish you all luck and decided to join in on the fun!

Roll Call

Current cycle day: 2

Ovulation date: This is my first cycle off of BCPs since giving birth to my daughter last September, so I’m not really sure. My cycles were a little wonky for a few months after going off the pill last time, so I expect the same to happen. Probably around September 9th though.

POAS date: Again, not really sure. If we aren’t successful I’m expecting AF to show up again around the 23rd, so I’ll probably test on the 24th if I’m “late.”

BFP plan: I started taking prenatals a few weeks ago. I’m hoping to just go with the flow for right now and try to get in as much BD as we can during my expected ovulation period, but we’ll see if my relaxed plan lasts for long. 🙂  It took us four cycles to get pregnant with my daughter, and I took my temperature and charted last time.

This summer in the midwest has been a dream weather-wise (well… minus the last week+ of rain and crazy humidity). But I cringe when I think of last winter. I told my husband if this upcoming winter is anything like last winter, we’re moving. Our school district only had SEVEN days of school in January! Our dogs refused to go outside to pee because it was so cold, I had to put little socks on their feet so they wouldn’t freeze. Just horrible.

OMG I really hope Sept. is my lucky month because I am SO over the cramps, bloating, headaches, and fatigue! Not even Midol puts a damper on the wrath of sharkweek, I guess my uterus is supremely angry that I did not get KU last cycle.  I just have to keep focusing on the fact that I am one day closer to babymaking!

laceygrace:  I hate that about summer too.  I freeze the rest of the year, and now you are freezing me out in the summer too.  We only had a few hot days this year too.

jammer62:  Wow, only seven days of school.  That’s insaine.  I really hope it isn’t that bad next year.
