    I feel like I’m ahead of the game, yeah!!  September’s to-do list…

    • collect glass terrariums (been slacking on this)
    • collect addresses and mail save the dates
    • finish birdhouse cardbox
    • assemble a portion of our invitations
    • design the rest of our invitation suite (can’t fill out all the specific details but at least want to get the design going)
    • try and get bridesmaids dresses decided!!  that part is going so slowly!!
    • figure out for sure if we want motorcycle model table numbers, if so, purchase!

I feel like I am doing ok but I have been slacking… Here is my september list.

    • Keep getting everyones address (even though save the dates wont be going out until January)
    • Keep trying to find things for super cheap.
    • Sign contract and give deposit for photog.
    • Try to get Fi to help me figure out what the Groomsmen will be wearing.
    • Figure out how we are going to give out the confetti (I am thinking paper cones)
    • Keep slowly ordering every thing we need!

I feel like I am on track… I am starting to just get excited now because a lot of the not-so-fun planning is done and now I am getting ready to do some of the fun stuff! I am definitely pacing myself so for this month this is what I want done realistically:

    – Collect addresses

    – Go dress shopping at least once!

    – Order STDs/envelopes/stamps

    – Find officiant

    What I want done idealistically:

    – Have Save-The-Date Cards mailed out

    – Buy the dress

    – Start making decorations

    – Find officiant

    – Find photographer

    – Find DJ

Good thing I’m a realistic person!

@cajungirl81:  Oh my gosh, are you buying a house and planning a wedding at the same time? You are a brave woman!! ๐Ÿ™‚

@koi424:  More like terrified.  Our current lease runs out in January, so we’re in a bit of a crunch ๐Ÿ™‚

Can’t believe we have 11 months!! That is exciting but scary at the same time. I think I am ahead of the game but need to still focus so I am not stressing come 2013! We have all the big vendors so the main thing this month is the Save-The-Date Cards.

Fiance just went back to work (photography teacher) so I need to give him some time to adjust and then we got to print them and send them, hoping by the end of the month. We also want to print the photos to use as table numbers and the matching photos on the escort cards. Since I am buying ink for his work printer we figured it would be best to print all the large projects we have at the same time.

And then the most exciting part, the tasting. My parents are coming to visit the last weekend of the month and we will get to try all of our entrees and wines ๐Ÿ™‚

@cajungirl81: Is there any way to get them to extend your lease until after the wedding? Or are you just ready to have your own place?

@asscherlover: How did it go asking your MOH? Good Luck with the BM’s.

@VermontBride13:  They offer a month-to-month option, but it triples your monthly payment.  We’ve found a good realtor though who’s working to get everything lined up & under control with our time table.  She’s got a reputation in our area for quick turn-around, getting contracts negotiated super-fast.  We’ve at least managed to narrow down the areas we want to concentrate our efforts on, so that’s something.

Made an unexpected stop at the sales today & snuck in some trousseau shopping, in hopes of avoiding humiliation at the hands of what my younger sister would find appropriate attire.  Or at least getting something that I’ll actually wear.

@asscherlover: Oh that is great! She seems like a wonderful pick at Maid/Matron of Honor. That is very exciting, can’t wait to hear the other stories. I don’t know how you waited so long, I couldn’t. But mine was pretty obvious who I would pick so I asked pretty much right away.

@cajungirl81: Month to month is definitely not good especially if your payment increases. Good Luck finding something you still have plenty of time to plan so having a house before will be nice. AND your registry will really help out.

I’m way ahead of the game. Aside from booking the officiant (who is super busy and can be hard to get ahold of), we’re done with everything except DIY projects.

    I need to:
    – hit up Goodwill (need two big ornate frames and milk glass)
    – start painting centerpiece stuff (maybe)
