Ceremony (where): A charming bed and breakfast near a lake.
Reception (where): The barn behind the bed and breakfast.
Dress Style: Ivory Oleg Cassini with champagne gold embroidered lace and beading. Also, red or purple qipao.
Hair/Makeup (Pro/DYI): DIY hair and makeup. I don’t wear much makeup. Hair will be up in a ballerina bun with ivory beaded veil.
Honeymoon Location: Thinking either Chateau Frontenac with skiing at Le Massif or trying to convince the FH to take a cruise to Antartica.
Flowers: Red dahlias with purple orchids. Most boutonniere/corsages will be red freesia with the VIPs (MOB, Future Mother-In-Law, FH) with purple orchids. Babies breath tied with ribbon along the aisles.
First Dance Song: Come Away with Me- Norah Jones.
Centerpieces: Submerged flowers- freesia, purple orchids and babies breath.
Food/Menu: Locally sourced mediterranean. 3-4 hor d’oeuvres at cocktail hour with champagne/wine bar and pimm’s as a signature cocktail. Salad course of caprese or mixed greens. Mains optional herb grilled salmon or lamb shanks (with a couple vegan mains) on a bed of quinoa with roasted beets and pea shoot greens. Late night platter with cheeses, meats, fruits and chocolates.
Cake Flavor: Two layers chocolate and one layer vanilla with raspberry filling and textured ivory buttercream. Double happiness topper surrounded by purple orchids.
Favors: Double happiness chopsticks with japanese paper heart origami holster (MOH is making).
DJ/Band/Ipod: Jazz sax and piano. Ipod mixed in.
Bachelorette (when/what): TBD. Thinking girls weekend at Niagara on the Lake.
