(Closed) sequins and lace for bridesmaids?

    I think if it is done tastefully then you could do it. I do not really understand the fear that so many brides have about being “upstaged”. It is your day and everyone is going to be looking at you. Don’t brides what their girls to look pretty too?

    I love the sequins and the lace.  There isn’t any way the bridesmaids can upstage the bride.  I mean, the bride is wearing white!  //  I just think that it might be pricey to find the dresses, though.  Sequins and beaded dresses are always pricier than most.

    I don’t think the sequins would overshadow the bride or anything, I think that they’re just…too much in general, at least the all-over sequins. I think the consideration has to be that while one girl would just stand out in a lovely way,if you have four or five of them, it starts to get a little too blingy. Just my thoughts, though!

    I picked yes, but not because of “upstaging the bride” that just makes the bride sound selfish and pushing her girls down. I think the sequins shown in those pictures look too Vegas-show-girl for my taste. Not at all wedding formal type.
