So I’m attending a wedding on December 28th and I’m trying to figure out what I want to wear. I’ve been playing around on Rent the Runway, and I’ve found a few dresses that I really like and some of them have sequins. Is it ok to wear sequins as a wedding guest? The wedding is in New Orleans and the ceremony starts at 7 pm. Here’s a few pictures of what I’m thinking:

It’s definitely fine for you to wear sequins! Unless you know that the theme of the couple’s wedding is sequins!

I really like the first one! I would say sequins are fine as long as it’s a dressy wedding.

I think sequins would be fine.. unless you suspect the brdiesmaids will be in sequins.
But, those last 2 dresses look terribly short to me.. esp if you have a larger butt/boobs than the models. Just my opinion though!

Rent the Runway for the win! I am renting a sequined number for a NYE wedding. Go for it!

@tigergrrl2008: I voted yes ! I would love to have guests wear sequins, they’re very festive. 🙂 I love the first dress !

Sequins seem to be everywhere right now – you might not even be the only guest in them! I think it’s fine as long as it’s not over the top (the same for any dress really). Those black dresses posted look elegant and look appropriate for an evening wedding. Maybe if it was gold sequin it would be too much!!
