- Wedding: December 2014
So I’m finally getting around to posting our recap! Our wedding was on the 6th of December (in Australia – so it’s summer) and we had such an amazing day.
Mother Nature decided to rain all over our beautiful garden venue, but luckily we had a pretty good “plan B” on hold … just in case. I thought I’d be so cranky if it rained on our wedding day but it actually kind of added to it – I loved our indoor venue and our rainy/umbrella shots, and the rain eased up enough to get some outdoor shots! And nothing could really wipe the smile off my face that day anyway 🙂
Our ceremony was easily the best part of the day – I’ve never laughed and cried so much in the space of half an hour. Our reception was hilarious – our photographer had a photobooth in the corner, but somehow all of the costumes ended up on the dancefloor. It was the perfect mix of fun and sentimental.
Most of our wedding was DIY and I’m kind of obsessed with all the colours. Luckily my now husband (yipee!) trusted my judgement and we were both so happy with how everything turned out. My dress was Vera Wang Gemma and was a sample which I purchased online from the US (I didn’t even try it on but it fit like a glove!).
Anyway – here are some of our pics (faces blurred to protect the innocent :)). Hope you like them!
Our dresses – my sister/MOH made all of the bridesmaids dresses (each Bridesmaid or Best Man got to choose their own style) with fabric was purchased on eBay. My sister is a wizard.
My flowers – I cried when I saw them!
Our beautiful flowergirl dresses – also made by my sister (we had three flowergirls!)
Our pageboy – outfit also made by my sis (guess who chose the buttons haha)
Our shoes – I wore Kate Spade.
Yep – still raining!

Arriving at the ceremony – contents: one teary bride, three gorgeous bridesmaids, one nervous father of the bride, three giggly flowergirls, one handsome pageboy.

One of my faves!
Our reception! I DIYed the tables and tablecentres and a decorator did the rest. I was kind of obsessed 🙂
