@dmcanespy: Yes you are right, I say do it! May I say I tried on both the Alfred Angelo and Augusta Jones dress. They both felt lovely. I preferred the front of the Alfred Angelo and the back of the Augusta Jones, here’s me in the Augusta Jones,
I really liked it and thought it was the one, but on me I found it aged me and after I made my decision to go dress shopping again I said it would’ve been more suitable if I was older. Hope you don’t take offence by that but know what I mean.

@CatyLady: No offense at all! I know exactly what you mean. I don’t want to look like I’m trying to dress young; I like being in my 40s!
Thank you to all you lovely bees for the encouragement. I am definitely getting the Alfred Angelo, budget be damned; now I just hope no one tries to bid against me! (no “buy it now” option)
I’ve even decided how to bustle it. I love the side sling bustle for this dress as described on http://www.leanna.com/Bustle/Bustles.shtml

@dmcanespy: I love that bustle – it looks very suitable for this dress. a french bustle or one that bunched up the back would be too bulky. Good luck on the bid!!! I really hope you get it!!!

Hey – not sure what size you’re needing – but I found this dress on recycledbrides.com that may be the same or similar in a size 8.

I’m so glad that you’re going with the second dress… not only do you look phenomenal in the dress, but your attitude toward the second dress is so much more positive than to your original dress.

the second one is really amazing on you!!!

@dmcanespy: Oh good , phew. Glad you’re going for it, I liked it on me but it looks so wow on you. Keep us updated, fingers crossed the bidding goes your way 😉

You will look beautiful no matter what, but if you can afford the second one I would go with that one. If it’s too much or breaks your budget the first dress is also lovely.

@dmcanespy: HOORAY!!! Congrats!!! 🙂

I almost never advocate buying a second dress, but in this case I will make an exception. You look stunning in the second dress, and it is still a good bargain! Paying a grand total of $500 for two dresses is still a great bargain in my book!
