@s2bmrscook:  This happened to me with a very well known wedding planning company in Sacramento. The first time around they ignored my email for two weeks and when they finally got back to me said my email ended up in their junk mail (really??). After responding to their response I didn’t hear back for another week or so and emailed again. Nothing.

I ended up booking an amazing planner and they eventually called me back seven weeks after my original email. I told them their communication was ridiculous to say the least and hung up.

@s2bmrscook:  Ha ha well done! Honestly I don’t know how companies stay in business if they wait so long to respond to potential leads.

I was really interested in booking that over the top planner too!

Hey guys, do you have any idea how hard it is to run a business? All these people keep calling and emailing you wanting to pay you to do stuff for them and it’s like, helloooo, do you think I really have time to talk to all of you? Sheesh! Amirite?!?!?!

Errrrhhh … wait. Maybe this is why my topless mortgage originator business went to hell. I forgot my email password and that was that.

haha, this happened to me with a caterer. We originally contacted them in October and they emailed me in February asking about our event and how they were excited to work with us. Umm, really?

This happened with one of the initial photographers I was looking at. After booking my photographer I finally got a call from the intial company. Even after my wedding I get emails inquiring about my need for a wedding photographer. =/

I have been ocnstantly blown away by the lask of professionalism by vendors in this industry. When i was looking for a DJ i emailed about 8 companies to get pricing etc, and asked them to email me back – i was trying to plan inbetween doing things at work so a phone call was not appropriate, plus i jsut wanted the basic info and if i was interested would then call. I had 2 replies to those 8 emails, and another company that was constantly calling me – i’m talking 4 or 5 times a day for 3 or 4 days and always during work hours. You would think after all that time of calling and getting no response you would email? No, i eventually got a call that was outside business hours, and explained phone calls weren’t convenient as i’d orginally stated, and i had since booked someone who had emialed as i requested! 7 weeks later i got another email reply, i couldn’t believe it. Also couldn’t believe the amount of people who jsut never got back to me. Obvisouly those people weren’t available for my date, but all it takes is an email to say so. I would never contact those people and give them another chance if i was holding another event. crazy.
