@floridabride12: I’m so sorry about your Future Mother-In-Law craziness. I honestly don’t understand people like that. If you could drop all that money for a quick stop into town why wouldn’t you want to help make your son’s wedding fantabulous? Keep your head up, and try not to let your Future Mother-In-Law drive you crazy.

If it makes you feel better, my SO’s sister just decided 3 days ago that she would come visit this weekend. And spend the weekend at our house. She lives 3 states away and says she has $20 in her bank account (aka-she doesnt have any money to spend while shes here). So now I need to clean the house tomorrow night after work and plan some things for us to do all weekend. And buy some food I guess since she has no money to go out. I guess my plans of working in the yard and relaxing won’t happen this weekend.

Ughhhh. Why do people do this?

I don’t know. Its kind of her money. If she wants to take a trip with it and feels that you and your Fiance should pay for your own wedding, it’s kind of up her her, no? *shrugs*

I don’t mean that in a mean way, sorry if it comes out like that

Some people only want to spend money on themselves but not on anyone else.

Im so sorry that would drive me crazy as well… It sucks that she is not wanting to help with with wedding but that just means that she has no authority on decisions.. And thats probably a good thing for you!! I hope that this visit of theirs goes well for you!! And Im glad your vent made you feel better.

@floridabride12:

She has no problem spending money on others, but there are always strings

Sounds like you’re better off then! 🙁  But your poor Mum having to bear the brunt of it.

I love the doggie in your icon btw… wire haired Jack Russell by any chance?

@floridabride12:

My gosh. The more you reveal, the more your Future Mother-In-Law sounds like a P.I.T.A.

My Future Mother-In-Law drives me nuts sometimes, too! My fiance and I currently live with his brother, but we are moving in 2 weeks and going our separate ways. His brother is getting his own place, so Future Mother-In-Law feels bad for him and has bought him all new furniture, dishes, decor, EVERYTHING you could need for a new place… but then she adds $500 worth of guests to our wedding, makes a big deal about us wanting to go $200 over our rehearsal dinner budget that they gave us… and we can’t really afford to add the extra people. Ugh is right!! Feeling your pain!
