Take a break from looking at rings. I had to when I got way overwhelmed. I spent over a year deciding what ring I wanted.

Decide on your five favourites and then let your Fiance choose.

@RedHeadKel:  there’s Charlemagne in St. Paul.  I just had some work done on my ring earlier this month and it was beautiful and affordable.  They do custom….not just wedding Jewelry.  It’s cool…it’s on Grand Ave in St. paul.

You might want to try Landmark Jewelers in St. Paul, too.

My mom knows the owner and gemolist, and then one of the guys who works down there is an old family awuaintance.  They’re independent,  customer driven….and they have cool estate pieces, too!  I’ll keep thinking of places besides the mall stores.

Are you opposed to buying online?

Where have you gone so far?  We’re working with Continental Diamond in St. Louis Park.  Roz is our salesperson, she’s great, and Ashley is their designer.  We’ve also worked with G Allen in downtown Minneapolis, but they’ve downsized their store and their hours are limited to Monday through Friday 10 – 5 or 6 (I think, but my husband would know).  Otherwise, we also considered Gold ‘n Treasure in St Paul on Grand Avenue.
