I did the same thing during a rain storm, only I whacked my LEFT eye and my RIGHT jawbone (yeah, no clue) but what I did was a cold pack and a coldish shower.. Mine bruised for a few days but went away pretty quick, the jaw stayed black and blue for a while, I managed to chip my molar in the process.. o_O I was in a hurry lol

I have heard that any over-the-counter creams that contain Vitamins A and K can help reduce the discoloration more quickly (that could also be a wives tale, but no harm in trying right??)

I’m sorry that happened to you! Get some great coverup makeup and you should be fine.

Oh man that sucks!  I walked into a ladder a few weeks ago and I thought I knocked my teeth out!

Oh no! I’ll join the clumsy club… yesterday I broke a wine glass, sliced my finger on a knife (both while doing dishes), and smacked my hand into a wall. I frequently drop my phone/Kindle on my face if I’m holding it up while lying in bed. Ugh.

I have totally done this before! Sorry, I have no advice. Even in college I hit myself in the face at least 5 times just by opening the door to my dorm!

I did this the other night after work. I called the husband asking him if he already ate dinner. I opened my car door and…

BAM!

Busted my lip. I held it cursing and could taste the blood. My husband was like, “Whats wrong?!”

I said, “Nothing, I am an idiot, I will be home in a few minutes..”

I was way too mortified to say what happened just then, but told him when I got home because he saw my lip.

Awww.  I hope the bruising goes away before the wedding!  If not, I’d definitely make sure to have some good cover up.  (hugs)

Aww crap! Keep ice on it and I’d think you’d be ok. I did this a few summers ago. Except I ended up with a little cut almost to the bone. It happened with my then boyfriend at the time who took me to the ER to get it stitched and they really didn’t believe me that when I said I opened the car door on myself that it really meant that and not that he hit me.

Ice (as you’re already doing) and if you have access to it, get some arnica cream! It’s great for bruises and swelling.

I’m sure in a few days it will be fine to cover with makeup. A week before ym wedding, I got a really bad burn on my forehead when I was cooking and some boiling water splashed up and burned me! Luckily I was able to cover it enough that it wasn’t very visable!

Good luck! I hope you heal up very quick and have a great wedding!

I have a nice bruise under my eye Fiance will most likely flip about when he sees me.

(long story short, currently at Moms taking care of family. Anyway My ex who beat me lives in this town, Fiance is not happy I’m here, but knows I need to take care of family)

I did it to myself. I was talking to Mom and opening the freezer at the same time, turned around at the wrong time and BASHED my cheek into the corner. It looks horrible! I’m such a klutz!

@MrsJoyful80:  Seriously go to walmart and find Hard Candy’s Glamoflage. If it can cover a tattoo, it can cover a bruise.
