Hello all ladies, I do seriously need help. I don’t do any makeup normally. I am currently living in BC (Canada), and will be going to Montreal for my wedding. Some background information for you:
– My age is between 24-28; I am Chinese; I have long black hair
– My dress is cathedral train + a cathedral veil.
(This is me in my gown : ) )
Currently I found two potential makeup artists and I do need some advice/ suggestions from you, as I really do not know how to choose.

If you don’t regularly wear makeup I’d recommend someone with a much more natural style. The first uses a lot more color and seems to go for a stronger look in general. If I were you I’d go with the second one.

I’d go with the second one too.
Your dress is beautiful!

I agree with PP, the second one looks much more natural than the first, so if you’re not used to wearing makeup you might be more comfortable with the second. Plus, it seems like it’ll save you some cash

Thanks ladies for your advice! But do the brides (from the second artist) look like “no make-up”? I agree that natural is better for me. I am just not too sure from your point of view, is the makeup way too natural / light?
Thanks again! really appreciate it!

It really just depends on what look you’re looking for and what fits in with your wedding’s style. I’d say the first artist would be more appropriate for evening wedding that are formal and quite glam. The first and last looks especially wouldn’t seem to fit like a garden style wedding, etc. From my point of view at least.
The second artist is very natural (especially the last few pics) but I really like the makeup on the bride in the second row with the yellow lilies. She’s obviously wearing eyeshadow and lipstick but they aren’t overpowering, and she looks fresh.
If you’re clear with her about how much color you want, I’m sure she can strike a good balance between practically nothing and glam 🙂
(by the way the first girl in the second artists pics look exactly like someone I went to high school with, lol!)

the second one does look more natural but i think you have to make sure that the make up isn’t too light because it won’t show up in photographs or your face will look washed out. i think this is especially true if you’re outdoors because of the sunlight. i’m not a fan of the first make over with the extreme purple eyeshadow and rouge. and the last photo from #2 makes the bride look like she has zero makeup on. any way to get somone in between?

definitley the second one!
