    I’m not a big fan of cupcakes. They’re messy and I don’t like to eat messy foods when I’m dressed up. But that is just me!

    *I should add I’m a messy eater lol

    We had cupcakes and a small cake for cutting.  People raved about being able to select their own flavor!  I also ate mine with a fork because I didn’t want to mess up my make-up 😛

    If you are providing a cake tier then either way you wll be fine, but I am like a PP and much prefer cake to cupcakes. I really don’t like them at wedidngs.

    Which is cheaper? Go with that. People will or wont eat cake or cupcakes regardless of which form it is in!

    Cupcakes! I was so excited to learn that people are incorporating cupcakes into their wedding now. You must be insane not to love cake!

    I guess it depends- you could alwys let guests take cupcakes home with them as a parting gift (for the ride home, or a ‘mifnight’ snack type of thing) Also, if there are kids at the wedding, cupcakes are sure to be a big hit! If you a shooting for a whimsical look then they would work wonderfully as well.Maybe instead of a Large 2 tier cake you could go with a smaller one, that way you ensure that none of it is wasted?

    @crayfish:  VERY GOOD POINT

    Take my word for it- after working in catering, NO ONE eats the cake and they always cut the pieces small so they don’t run out
