UGH! So I had a hair and make-up trial on Monday which went great! Loved everything, especially the hair stylist (the owner of the business). So I sign the contract and give her a deposit. I go my merry way thinking I’ve just crossed another thing off my to-do list All good right?
No. Apparently not.
Because she calls me today and tells me that she forgot that she already accepted a deposit for my date.
Are you kidding me?! Why would you let me book a trial with you?! I know it had been a month between when I initially first contacted her and booking the trial – but why wouldn’t you look to make sure that the date was still free!?
Ok. I’m sorry. I just had to vent.

FAIL. That’s why they make calendars, lady!!! I can’t believe she would let herself go to the trouble of booking a trial before checking to see if the date was free in the first place. That’s a waste of her time and yours! (Not to mention signing a CONTRACT before checking the date – are you kidding me?)
Sorry it didn’t work out – but at least she remembered 2 days later (and not, say, the day before your wedding) so you can find someone you like just as much. Besides, who wants someone that flaky around on their wedding day?

Look on the bright side – at least she didn’t wait until the date to realise!! Get your deposit back & find an even better person!! And now at least you know what you love & know the exact questions to ask 🙂

Did you pay for the trial? If you did, I would ask for the money back since it was her mistake that cost you.
