Get tickets for you and your husband and go to the concert, too! She seems like shes such a user, the way she is going about her plans are 100% selfish and unacceptable.

soon2bmrsruiz :  holey moley…she’s got some big hairy balls and no shame to even try to do what she had done. She’s basically using you for free parking, accommodation and babysitting. She’s also very likely to stick you with her portion of the bill at dinner too. I’d just say no to everything because she will still bring the baby and guilt you into looking after it.

I looked after my 3 week old nephew last year so my sis could attend a function. I’m not a parent but I’ve had babysitting experience with several nieces and nephews so I felt pretty comfortable with it all. If she’d asked five years ago my answer would have been no bloody way because I wasn’t as comfortable around newborn babies back then. He is a good baby but even at three weeks he let me know pretty much straight away that he knew mum was not around. I went to babysit at their house too!!

I can’t imagine babysitting a newborn with no experience especially when the babies never seen you or your house before and most likely never been separated from mum for more than five minutes at that point. I’m seriously side-eying  a mum who would even feel comfortable doing that to her baby. Leaving a newborn essentially  with strangers who have no child rearing experience is not good parenting…
