@jesssamesssa:  It sounds like she is really upset. I could see being upset if I posted a sad situation and not one person responded. You don’t have to “like” the post, but you can always comment on it.

That being said, I almost never post on Facebook so I would never post this. If she normally does and receives responses and then this one post was ignored…yeah she might be upset, especially when combined with her loss.

I would “like” that second status.

i would feel sad for that person that he asked friends for support in this difficult time and no one gave them.

it doesn’t take more than a few seconds to say “our thoughts are with you” or “thinking of you” or “hugs”

i see posts like that and there are tons of FB friends, whether they are friends in reallife or not that offer their support and sympathy.

Oh I’m sorry, I didn’t realize that Facebook Likes = Prayer.
Missed the Vatican Council concensus on that one.

@MrsNewDay:  Exactly!  I wouldn’t want to “like” the fact that’s he’s dying.  Plus, FB just isn’t the best spot to release that kind of information.  If you want people to pray, go to a church and ask to be put on the prayer list.

Well.. instead of being like wtf, I feel more sad about it. Clearly this person is not in a good state of mind right now and is just lashing out at what he can.

In my experience, when I hope that people will do something nice for me but they don’t step up, yelling at them for it always helps them do more nice stuff for me in the future.

Errrh .. wait …

Seriously? I have seen people post pictures of their dead family members during the funeral…how the hell do some people have the ability to click on the “like” button to such post?  which some did!

As far as that person you know, WTH? “Not one like on FB”? There is Nothing to like about a sad situation such as hers. It is sad she didn’t get any words of encouragement or sympathy from people who know her; I guess she’s letting her frustration in this sad time get the best of her.
