@SaugaBride:  I would pay the money to have a jeweler do it. I would not risk screwing up the stone or the setting.

I agree with the previous poster…unless you don’t care if something happens to the stone, go for it!

Snap tight settings are ok if it’s a pendant….I don’t think I would trust it for a ring though….

@SaugaBride:  My suggestion would be to not set it yourself unless you are a skilled jeweler. How bad would you feel if the stone fell out and was lost tomorrow. I know I would be absolutely devastated.

Oh sorry just saw your cheap stone comment. If its for fun have at. I thought you ment something more precious. Theres always a first for everything 🙂
