- Wedding: May 2014
I am recently engaged (4/26) and am one year from this Friday away from our wedding (5/17).
We are looking at going dress shopping (my mom, Maid/Matron of Honor, possibly my goddaughter/junior bridesmaid and I) the second Sunday in June as the rest of June and a lot of July is crazy busy for Fiance and I (vacations, weddings, etc), and I am finding it IMPOSSIBLE to find a bridal boutique (other than David’s or Alfred Angelo) open on Sundays (which I find boggling – a lot of brides and their “entourage” may have to work during the week, Saturdays). Anyway, I found one that is open on Sundays and filled out their online form to schedule an appointment.
I just received a call and the woman said their summer hours start soon and they are closed on Sundays. So I explained that I would have to check with my mom since she’s the one that works the crazy hours (all day Saturdays, some nights during the week, etc. but off on Sundays) and get back to them. Then the lady said if no other day works, she would personally come in that Sunday to accomodate us and just have us do our appointment and then close the shop (close the shop basically while we are in there too so other people don’t come while we are there)! I’ve heard very very good things about this shop (it’s actually about an hour away, but only 1/2 hour from my hometown where my mom and Maid/Matron of Honor live). This just makes me want to buy from there even more (which is the point of her doing it, but she was very sweet on the phone, she seemed genuinely trying to just accomodate us).
I will report back on how it goes – they carry Mori Lee dresses and I really love some of their dresses (and they are within budget!).
