ZAY-vee-er.  I’m from Northern Kentucky.  There’s actually a Xavier University in Southern Ohio, also pronounced ZAY-vee-er.

Zay-vier. I only say this because I had a boyfriend in highschool named Xavier.  I pronounced it wrong for years and he never corrected me or anyone else.  (he corrected me once we started dating haha)

@MadameTussaud:  I too am from CA and I have heard: Javier (Hah-vee-air), Ex-ay-vee-er, and Zay-vee-er. Oh, and Zah-vee-eh.

Wow! That sounds hilarious in my head that people would say the X sound in it.

    It’s definitely Zay-vee-er to me.

@MerryWidow:  I’ve only heard eck-zay-vee-er, I’m from the US.  Although to me Xander is pronounced Zander, LOL.

    This! 🙂
