Im having a sew in done for my wedding. I think its the only way since I have a jaw-bone length bob and I want long wavy hair for my big day. Im also tsking a week long honeymoon afterwards so I certainly think sing it vs. glueing it wld be much more versitile and will last longer.  No pics though. Lol.

I have shoulder length hair but i get sew ins occasionally to change things up. Im on Fiance laptop now so  no photos. In 09 i got a horrible hair cut so i wore sew ins for several months and my hair grew out as long and healthy as ever. And I always get one for vacations since it is so easy to maintain and i dont have to worry about straightening my hair.

If you are thinking of going natural i think a sew in is a great idea for the transitional period.

@bRooklynRocks: Im too addicted to the creamy crack to go natural even thouogh i find natural hair to be so beautiful. I wish i was bold enough to do it though 🙂

I wear natural hair but want something different for my wedding day and decided on a weave. It wont be as convenient as a wash pi up and go of natural hair for the honeymoon (Oh how i wish)

@Lady1: I ordered Wagmans hair. I brought raw indian  naturally curly. It is the best hair that I’ve ever had.

@jerseyprincess: I brought curly hair and I was able to do wash and gos on my honeymoon.

This is my first post guys! I am natural my hair is APL (armpit length) in back and almost collarbone in front. We will be honeymooning for a week after the wedding and I can not imagine spending the amount of time I do regularly on my hair when on vacay or the days leading up to the wedding. On the to other hand I definitely want to stay true to who I am. So my plan is to order kinky/curly weave that can be flat ironed or altered just as my own hair. I think a sew in would be the best method to go with. My Fiance wants straight hair and would prefer my own…umm yea 1 of 2 isnt bad huh Undecided. So my question/concern is will i be able to have a half up/half down hairstyle on wedding day if i get a sew in? I have worn a weave one other time in my life and it was several years ago so HELP me out ladies…thoughts?

I’m getting a sew in done.  I’m having a destination wedding and I think it will be so convenient not to worry about my natural hair for that week. Any birdes out there with photos of their wedding day sew in?

I am also natural and am having a hard time trying to figure out what to do with my hair for my wedding… I wear weaves and wigs often as I have a very kinky texture and it takes forever for my hair to dry with gels and moisturizers. I have contemplated on wearing a lf (lacefront) or sew-in. I do not plan on wearing my natural hair on the big day, I can just see myself in tears after my hair starts to swell and puff up after a couple hours of dancing. I plan on trying an kinky curly hair that can be reverted from curly to straight for more versitile styling. I plan on having it sewn-in in a few weeks as a trial, my wedding isn’t til November so I have plenty of time to try a few things out before making a final decision.
