I LOVE Berta! Those are stunning! I say, go for it! There’s nothing raunchy about either of them – they’re elegant.

(I think the purity connotation is offensive, too. A grown-ass woman’s sex life is no one’s business.)

my man would much rather see me in a sexy fitting gown than a big poofy cupcake dress! to him the wedding is a big celebration to show off his best trophy (me) haha so he told me to wear something to make everyone jealous, I love him!

I’d pass — it’s a pretty dress, but I wouldn’t wear it for my wedding. And not because I’m a prude, but because I’d look back on it and probably wonder what I was thinking.

SexyCatLady:  preach it, sister! Also love your user name!

OP – I think the two dresses are fine for the reception. My only concern would be that the models in those dresses aren’t overly endowed in the chest region. In other words I think the dresses would look best on someone with average size or small boobs. If you have large boobs – D cup or abive – then obviously the dress is going to be revealing more of them. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but it needs to be something you’re OK with.

Also, if you have really big boobs, the dress probably isn’t going to be suitable because I don’t think it’s boned at all and those straps won’t be able to provide much support, since they appear to be more decorative.

I personally wouldn’t want my parents or grandparents to see me in a dress like that. If it was a smaller wedding with just my friends, then yes, I would be fine with it. But I know my grandparents and parents would feel ashamed if I wore a dress that low cut.

cloe.belen:  Sorry, I don’t like either of them. Too sexy. In my opinion, the bride wants to be beautiful and classy, not sexy. Sexy is for the bedroom.

I’m surprised you think that’s not too deep. I would not be happy having anyone but FI see that much of my chest, and I’m no prude.

I would love to wear a dress similar to that one but nothing too crazy out of respect for my grandparents. My grandfather will be 93 at the time of the wedding, he’s very old fashioneD.

aussiemum1248:  I do think a dress can be simultaneously classy and sexy, though – it’s well-made, fantastically tailored, and uses the finest materials. It’s not as if the second someone puts on something sexy, they lose all sense of class. Look at old Hollywood stars like Greta Garbo and Joan Blondell: they wore clingy, sexy gowns, and oozed class and sex appeal at the same time.

I love the one on the right!  I would totally wear that one.

When you said sexy, I thought I was going to say no, not the look to go for on your wedding day, but I don’t think either of those gowns is “sexy”.  More elegant and if you look good in them then YOU will look sexy, not the dress.

I have a rule for most of the time I’m dressing up (except for maybe a club) boobs, back or leg but only one.  The same applies to my wedding dress (helloooo back!)

I think these are raunchy for the average American wedding. Perhaps not so much for older, European brides, they could pull off these dresses if they had perfect bodies; Europeans may be used to plunging necklines, this much skin in front . Kinda depends on the locale and makeup of the guests.

But really, while these are beatuiful photos, I’m not sure the dresses would be beautiful on most people.
