Any swimwear recommendations for something that is sexy (not old maid-ish) yet still supportive? Main areas of concern are the tummy area – anything that can suck me in from all sides would be awesome. I just don’t want to go on a honeymoon and have to wear a darn swimdress again. i would really like to wear a nice sexy swimsuit!

I personally have found Land’s End swimwear to be flattering and not old maid-ish.

I bought this bathing suit last summer, and I love it! The website I ordered it from has a ton of great one pieces that don’t look old maid-ish! 🙂

Thanks everyone! You have given me a mission for the boring work day ahead :). I didn’t know that Spanx had a swimwear line – I’ll have to check them out for sure. I thought about the Miraclesuit options that VS has, but I wasn’t sure if they really worked. Maybe by the time the honeymoon actually gets here, I will have lost some more weight. I just can’t seem to get rid of the belly!

I have a Miraclesuit and I LOVE it!! It sucks my tummy in and gives my chest the most awesome support I’ve ever had in a bathing suit. Lane Bryant along with amny other department stores like Macy’s carry them. I acutally ordered mine online without trying it on first. I bought 3 of them and then kept my favorite one. They have this really cute one out right now that is black and grey leapord print…LOVE IT!! I have the Solid Escape in Black and it has this cute notch cut out and shows awesome cleavage.
You can get this swim suites from lots of different places with different prints, but I got mine from this website below. It’s really great because it has reviews of all of it from people who bought and tired it on. Honest opinions and hints on sizing. I also bought coverups for my honeymoon on here too. Well, pretty much my whole honeymoon wardrobe! (WARNING: these suites are pricey, but well worth the $$. You get what you pay for. And if you get the right print or color you can make it work with a lot of different coverups)

P.S. Get one with underwire…it makes all the difference I found. It really gives me that hourglass shape and makes my waist look slimmer. The suit I bought has underwire in it and comes in lots of different colors.

I live and die by my miracle suit swimwear. Seriously I will never own another maker of suits. Their sizes do run small, and it can be challenging getting in the suit, but I can run down the beach without everything jiggling. It will suck you in, show off your curves, and make you feel great. Seriously. I get mine from Cyberswim and have signed up for their newsletter. This fall they sent out a huge sale that went to members first and I scored these suits (originally $100+) for $30 or $40. So if you need one get it now, and stock up during one of these sales if you can. My personal favorites is the Sonatina (Oprah’s favorite too) and the Kara if you want something where you can drop the straps to reduce tan lines.
