I’m thinking about starting up my Insanity workout again. The first time I did it I didn’t use the shakeology shakes. Has anyone had any experience with them? If so what taste better? Did you see any weight loss?

I do Powerfit (like Crossfit/Insanity/P90X…all the same type of training) three times a week and have added small (NOT a blender sized portion) protein drinks into my diet to supplement after my work out. I loved Shakeoglogy and my favorite is chocolate (NOT vegan, blech!) with almond milk and added strawberries and bananas. The strawberry flavor is also good.
I have lost inches but not really weight considering the muscle tone I have been adding, but I attribute that to Powerfit and not necessarily Shakeology. However, I’m not drinking it to lose weight and I don’t drink it consistently enough to really be a judge. I switch between Shakeology, Odwalla Original Protein, Evolution Protein and a few others depending on what is available.
Shakeology is waaaaay too expensive In My Humble Opinion. I also don’t care for their business plan as I am not willing to sign up for a monthly “subscription.”

I recently bought my first bag of non-vegan chocolate Shakeology and I think it’s delicious. Can’t tell you yet about results but I think it is delicious. Best shake I have tried and I have tried a lot. I drink it with 10oz of coconut milk, a banana, a tablespoon of almond butter and ice. I add to it because I have it for breakfast and I need more calories. Makes it taste soo yummy though. I agree it is very expensive. If I see a difference when the month is over than I am going become a “coach”. Not because I want to sell it at all but because then the price goes Down to $80 instead of $130 a bag.
On another note about the price, it actually isn’t that bad if you use it as a meal it’s not really that bad as it has so many nutrients you don’t need to take supplements. I don’t need to take my whole foods prenatal or my probiotic anymore becaustithe shake includes everything I need. I don’t necessarily like the price and i found a way to get it cheaper, but my prenatal and the probiotic bottles are $75 a month so for me the shake doesn’t come out that expensive.

@adillon1: Hi! I started drinking Shakeology 2 years ago and I love it. The flavor was awesome, then they changed it and it sucked, but now they changed it again and it’s great again. I drink the chocolate almost every day. I even test occasionally to see if it affects my energy level.. one day eggs, the next Shakeology… HUGE difference on shake days.
As for the cost, it’s about $4 a shake. If you want to make it less expensive, sign up as a coach. You don’t ever have to do anything, unless you want to, but you get a discount just for being a coach. Plus, if you ever do get someone to buy the shake from you, you get more of a discount, so your shakes cost less. I became a coach about 3 months after I started drinking it.
So… yes, it’s worth the cost. Yes, it tastes good. I like chocolate the best, Greenberry second, and I think the Strawberry tastes too chalky. Oh, and if you don’t like it, you can actually go through the whole bag, send back an empty bag, and get a full refund. Absolutely no financial risk if you want to give it a shot. 🙂 Let me know if you have any questions!
