So I am two fittings in, and I LOVE the changes we have made to my dress. New neckline, chopped the train, taken in where it needs to be, added some cleavage where I needed some. I also love the bustle we came up with (not done yet). I am just struggling to love Me in the dress. Biggest issue at my last fitting… Back fat. I am obsessed with how broad I look at the top of the dress. The armpit fat I’m not in love with either, but to get my boobs the way I want them, I am going to have to deal with it (all about triangles and posing correctly there though).
So, I have been toying with dropping the V in the back, but don’t really want to unless it is necessary (don’t want to spend any more than I already have on alterations). I need your honest opinions Bees. What do you think?
(at first fitting, train shortened, still pinned everywhere else)
(2nd fitting, new neckline, fitted, bustle pinned)
(back close ups..the part that scares me… Never mind the scars, my hair will be down to cover them)

What?! Dang girl , I would sell my left leg for your physique. You don’t have any back fat, if you feel anything its the sensation your skin with fitted fabric against it.
Keep us updated with your photos 🙂 Lovin your dress!

I agree with the others – you look FABULOUS! Nobody will see back fat when they see you in that dress – because there isn’t any! The full length photo from the back is AMAZING – that dress fits you perfectly!

i agree with the others, i think you look absolurely stunning and should not worry about anything! but i won’t say you are crazy because i know it doesnt help. i was the same way, so overly critical and i see “back fat” in many of my wedding photos. i realize its about posture. you can practice standing in the mirror and trying out different postures and try to remember which one you like best so you will be less critical of yourself.
important to always try to keep in mind – you are your biggest critic. As evidenced by the comments here, only you see your imperctions – NO ONE else does!!!! and that is because you are either seeing something that is not there at all OR it is soooo small and insignificant that no one can see it but you!

Thanks ladies!!! The votes of confidence are doing me some good. I guess I was just hoping for that Ah-Ha moment…swooning over the dress. I was totally obsessed with all the miniscule little things, that I left more stressed than I have been the whole time about my dress and how I will look. Hopefully at the final fitting, with accessories and no more pins I will have that moment. Thanks again, you are all too sweet, and I LOVE THE SUPPORT!!
@sheilad72: The designer is Moonlight. I think that this is either a 2009 or 2010 collection dress (Jasmine is the name, I think).
