Hi bees! I’m so thrilled to share with you (and I’m doing so because I want to keep my momentum going and celebrate my successes and I’m pretty sure everyone IRL is sick of hearing about it :P)…after years of being a yo-yo dieter and never really being able to stick with a diet anyway, I’ve lost 15lbs and my BMI is now in the normal range!!!! I’m so thrilled!! I haven’t weighed this little for at least 6 years and before I met FI!
After a friend lost a lot on Weight Watchers, I decided to finally give it a try. I never thought it would work for me but it’s single handedly the most successful weight loss I’ve ever had on a diet. I’ve been doing it for 8 weeks. My overall goal is 32 lbs so at 15 lbs lost I am almost halfway there! Only 17 lbs to go! My BMI went from 27.4 to 24. 9 😀
Yay for weight loss! What weight loss successes have you had? And what diets worked best for you?

Tell me what kinds of stuff you eat on WW! Why didn’t you think it would work for you?
I have finally recovered from an ACL surgery and I gained around twenty pounds in the process. I need to lose them REAL fast, considering my wedding is in September and I was measured for my dress pre-injury! Ooops!

208bride: You can do it! You have plenty of time before a September wedding!
For breakfast, I usually eat yogurt and granola or cereal or a more hearty breakfast if I’m hungry (eggs and bacon).
For lunch, I usually eat half of a turkey sandwich with a thin slice of cheese, half a serving of reduced fat chips, and fruit. Sometimes a piece of chocolate.
For dinner, it varies depending if I’m cooking or going out. I try to eat something grilled or salad.
Throughout the day for snacks, I eat lots of fruits and try to integrate veggies into every meal. Those are zero points on WW so I try to eat them a lot. I also drink a ton of water, all day. With what I usually eat, I usually have room in the day for a hearty snack too and that will be something a little splurge-y usually (but within my points) like a Reese’s peanut butter egg or a few oreos or something.
The first few days especially I was hungry all the time! But it gets better once you figure out how to work the points better. You also get used to it.
You also get a bank of extra points every week to dip into but I don’t even know how many because I try not to use them. I do splurge here and there above my everyday points but try to do so only once a week if possible.

Hi Skittles, I actually tried WW and didn’t work for me but working out and eating healthy has worked (slowly) and I’ve lost 13 pounds from my higuest weight (at the engagement). I however, would like to lose at least 17 more. Ideally, I’d lose 25 or 30 and keep it off.
I was never chubby growing up, or in high shcool or college but since I turned 25 I’ve been gaining about 10 pounds per year.
My wedding is next April and my main concern is losing enough in a month to order my dress! I know I can lose weight in the upcoming months and prior to the wedding but I need to order the dress ASAP. Would you share your secrets? Meals you eat, etc.
I feel like I need to lose a considerable amount to order the dress and then keep it off. I’m just so stressed out about alterations!
