I’m surprised with myself that I haven’t done anything that drastic to myself yet.

But I do always poke myself in the eye and scratch up my forehead if I happen to fall asleep with my ring on. I also keep hitting it on things which jams my finger.

This is why I can’t have nice things.

No, I accidently wore it to the gym once but that’s it.  I also don’t wear it to my part time job anymore either.  I’m really surprised about the aerial class its usually in the waiver you sign before you start. I used to do Barre and the girls would wear the rings there I did once and never again to avoid the pain and accidents lol.  You live and you learn I guess! Laughing

@k8: OMG! That turned out to be quite the unexpected weapon! On a separate note, how AWESOME is it to be taking an aerial silks class! That looks like so much fun.

Ugh, I rip my pantyhose all the time at work with it and I always catch my Fiance with it and shank him.  lol.. not really funny since he gave it to me 😉

What cut of diamond was it? My friend managed to do something similar, with an emerald cut diamond.

@k8:  wow, I was kinda hoping it wouldn’t be round, because that’s what I have too and I’m a klutz. No ring-related injuries here yet, but seems like it’ll just be a matter of time… lol!

Before I clicked on this thread I thought it was a pun, like you changed your ring to get split shanks or something, but…owwie, I’m so sorry, that sucks.

My ring is a raised princess cut, and the corner prongs snag on all of my clothes, have ripped a t-shirt, and always give my Fiance welts when I’m not careful when we cuddle. Never sliced flesh open with it though, so yours is a cautionary tale!

@k8:  I’ve never injured myself with my ring but I did give my Darling Husband a nice scratch with my ring once, served him right for tickling me ;). Anyway, your ring is so beautiful, I have a concern though, you might want to check the prongs on your ring, they look like they are not spaced out evenly from the photo you posted. I’m not sure if its the picture angle, but if it looks like that in real life and if the prongs are suppose to be symmetrical, I would take it in. Better to be safe.

LOL! I accidentally scratch my fiance all the time! He gets so mad but I just tell him it’s his fault, he bought the ring! 😉
