ibtyen :  I was a bridesmaid last year and a group of us flew to Budapest for 4 days. Whilst the hen do itself was lovely, our flight back to the UK got cancelled and we were informed another flight would not be for 4 days, the airline basically abandoned us, didn’t help us at all, we ended up having to buy flights to Spain to then buy another flight to the UK. Whilst waiting in the airport in Spain (after being awake for 36 hours at this point) the bride slipped into a diabetic coma and nearly died. So yeah, pretty terrible.

We shoulda known the day was going to be touble when the bride said she might not be able to show up because the groom didnt like the idea of a stripper. well she found out he was having one and she decided to come anyways. Well idk what exactly happened after that, all i know is that when they arrived, both their cars where traashed and crashed. Apperantly the decided to play bumber cars and try to drive each other off the road. By the time police showed up, so did the stripper -_- dressed as a cop!

well we let the couple handle their business and we proceeded with the enetertainment inside. the bride was not allowed to come inside so we all pretended to be the bride for a little bit each.

needless to say that marriage didnt last long.

We went to Scottsdale for my bachelorette, overall it was a special, wonderful trip, and I feel so fortunate I got to BUT there were a couple hiccups…

The first morning we were there, leaving the barre studio, my uber driver got in a crash with me and 2 of my friends in the car! I’m talking, airbags deployed, car totalled, & minor injuries.  He was in the wrong too, and we all were shouting at him before it happened as we could see he was about to cause this crash. We all waited around for HOURS (in Scottsdale heat) to give our statement to the police.  We ended up missing lunch, and missing most our pool day.

When we finally got back to the hotel, a couple of us tried to “catch-up” with the rest of the girls who’d been at the pool all day.  But if any of you know Scottsdale heat, you have to be very careful to stay hydrated, and make sure you eat enough.  We really only had 2 maybe 3 drinks, but apparently that was enough to completely mess up one of my BMs.

She vanished.

We had no idea where she went, so one of my other friends checked on her and we never saw either of them again for the rest of the trip.

It turns out she called her Fiance (almost incoherrent) saying she was going home, and he called my one friend to ask her to check on her.  Not wanting to “bother” the rest of us, they just discretely left.  They ended up going straight to the airport and bought the next flight home.  Literally she left her suitcase at the hotel, and her phone in the cab.

She’s 100% ok now, it was just the most bizarre thing, considering I was with her, we had maybe 3 drinks tops, and she seemed FINE 30 minutes before all of that!  We decided it was that desert heat, it’ll get ya!

I was the bride. We were meant to have a low key bachelorette party spa day. We stayed at a very classy resort. My friends ordered a male stripper as a joke and one of my bridesmaids ended up having sex with him, in front of us, and she still paid him!!!

they actually dated for a bit after that. I wasn’t mad I was just shocked. It is hilarious looking back now.

the next day we went to brunch and had bottomless mimosas. The food was terrible so I just ended up BLACKONG OUT. I have zero memory of getting my nails done but there are pictures of me passed out in the ally behind the nail place.

bot the classy weekend we had in mind but we all crack up about it now!

summerlove23 :  Wow! That’s good to know.  I’m going to Scottsdale for my bachelorette and NOT looking forward to the heat though.  I don’t want to take over this thread, but if you have any recommendations on places to eat, pool parties, best bars, etc., I’d love to know!

My bachelorette party/weekend is approaching soon and I can see disaster written all over it! I’m going to Vegas and in the initial planning, one of my cousins stated that she had never been to a “real” bachelorette party and wanted to know if it would be bad if she came to the bachelorette party and not the wedding ( she only live a few hours from where the ceremony/ reception will take place) I immediately said YES and that if she cant make any of the events ( bridal shower, bachelorette party, wedding) I would prefer that she come to the wedding. Fast forward a few weeks and two weeks before my bachelorette weekend she told my Maid of Honor ( my sister) that she expects prepaid VIP  events and a gift for attending. In addition, she wants to guarantee that SHE has a good time since she paid so much for her plane ticket! At this point, I don’t care that she bought her ticket and I want to uninvite her to not only the bachelorette but to the wedding. I only want people around me that want to celebrate my union with my fiance!

Husband and I did a cruise with our friends. We were on an ATV tour. One couple, the girl was driving and she lost control and hit a fence. She was fine, huge gash on the guys leg. They were inches from an electric pole. She spent most of the night freaked out that she almost killed him. But no one was seriously injured. Oh and we got back minutes from when the ship was supposed to leave.
