Mom and Dad bought us the best Waterford Crystal Glasses ever I think πŸ™‚ (I hate crystal so I was psyched I liked them.)

My mom also got us the cake cutter, because I forgot and she bought it that morning πŸ™‚

Cake server (they say “MR. AND MRS.” on the handles, you can’t tell very well in this picture)

These were the toasting glasses we intended to use. However, when the time came, we decided just to use the same plastic champagne glasses that everyone else used, instead of going and getting them.

This was our cake serving set:

@mwitter80: I love your glasses and last-minute cutting set!

I haven’t bought mine yet …. is having special glasses and utensils really worth the money?

These are the flutes I want.  I absolutely adore them.

Haven’t picked a cake set yet.

@missblueshoes:  We bought ours used before the wedding and resold them afterward, so the net cost was minimal.  If you are thinking of getting them monogrammed (which means you really could not resell them), you’ll need to consider whether you would use them after the wedding.  Some people use them for every anniversary, for example.  If you’re only going to use them once, it may not be worth the money.

@missblueshoes: my mother thought it was πŸ™‚ On the base of the flutes she had our names and wedding date etched into them. Darling Husband and I have discussed breaking them out every year on our wedding anniversary and buying the same (much dinero) bottle of champagne a friend bought us as a wedding gift, and toasting to ourselves.  We love champagne so for us I think it makes more sense then for others.
