There are threads for nearly every stone, metal, setting and cut, but when you search for sterling silver all the posts seem so negative so I thought it would be fun to show some silver love. It would also be nice to post why you chose silver over other metals.
This is my sterling silver set and I picked sterling silver 1) because I love the idea of it showing its wear over time (like a comfortable, broken in sweater) & 2) I would rather spend money on experiences, not things

My engagment ring is sterling and my wedding ring is gold. I liked that I don’t have to get it re dipped and it just needs a polish.

i chose silver mostly because I fell in love with the ring and it only came in silver. But price and only having to polish it to make it look new is a perk too.

My favorite sterling silver and cz ring! From Berricle 🙂 love this thread! I’ve got lots of ss jewelry and love to see it get some love! Keep em coming ladies!

I have this 5 stone band from berricle.com. It’s rhodium plated sterling silver with cz. I mostly wear it on my right hand or as a stand in ring.

I love sterling silver! Quite a bit of my jewelry is this metal, as I tend to prefer white-toned metal against my skin. Plus, it’s so much more affordable than gold. I’ve never had a problem with wear and tear. I love the slightly aged, “broken in” look it gets over time. And, overall, it wears really well for me even though I can be a bit hard on my jewelry.
These are all RHRs, not wedding jewelry. But I thought I would share pics, anyhow, in hopes of bumping the thread and keeping it going. I would love to see tons of beautiful SS pieces. Beware of pic overload! (lol)
And (literally — ha, ha!) a whole pile of silver wedding bands that Darling Husband has given me over the years. I wore just a silver band for about 10 years or so.

luckyladylaterinlife35: You can proably tell that I’m a very simple person, but I love admiring fancy rings from afar.
veronica.sampley.1: I love that the first three rings on this thread are also gemstones and not traditional at all.
MrsBobcat: Our rings are so different, yet so similar. Both kite set, blue gemstones. Funny how something that seems relatively similar can take on completely different looks.
longtimemrs: I really like the thin band with the name on it. How wide is it? Is that your child’s name or your own or someone else’s…- if you don’t mind my asking? (Slightly related, but I have a name plate bracelet that I wear on my left wrist sometimes with my own name in Arabic- sterling silver of course!)

Gorgeous wedding sets ladies, I’d love to see more of the marital bling in silver so definitely keep them coming.

longtimemrs: look at all that sterling silver bling! Like you, I really like the way silver looks after some time and wear. It’s always held up beautifully for me too. I still have and wear some silver rings that I’ve had since high school, and they’re in great shape. The price makes it much more affordable to get new bling on a budget too, especially with a jewelry habit like mine, lol!

My silver claddaugh ring. 🙂

Aww, I’m sad that more of these aren’t wedding sets.
We chose silver because we’re just not “gold”people. No dipping, no perfection – we like our little scratches – they show where we’ve been. And we both love the antiquing aspect as well; had them antiqued before arrival. No actual tarnishing since we wear them often enough. Admittedly it hasn’t been a full year yet, but they seem to be holding up quite well. The men’s band is new, since he lost the first in all of two weeks.

misswrl: Thanks! I don’t mind you asking at all.
It is my daughter’s name on the band. It has her name on the outside, and her birthdate and “carry my heart” on the inside of the band. It’s 2mm, and is from an Etsy shop called Bouton Rouge. She sells different styles and widths, and you can get pretty much whatever you want on the band. I got this super narrow one so that I could easily stack it with other rings. But, sometimes, I wish I had a wider one for when I wanted to wear it alone. I might order another from her in the near future.
Your bracelet sounds gorgeous!!
luckyladylaterinlife35: Yes, all around! I think you and I are soul sisters in the needing new bling department! Ha, ha. I love me lots of new pretties … and SS definitely makes that possible. Not to mention it wears so well for me and is one of my favorite metals. A total win-win-win! I have some SS rings from HS, too. The only time I’ve had trouble with my SS tarnishing is when I leave a ring for a long time (months) without wearing it.
