We are having an outdoor ceremony:

and indoor ballroom reception, which over looks the Rocky Mountains in a 180° angle (this picture was from Hitched.ca or the coordinator; not mine)

My family and I would most likely get together with our own instruments and rock the night away. πŸ™‚

@OhsoLovely:  We had an outdoor ceremony but an indoor ballroom reception. Here are the photos of that reception ballroom (the reason we chose this venue!).  This one wasn’t our wedding, but I just love this photo!

The staircase was excellent for our introduction:

I don’t have a picture of the full room, but the floor was black and white tiled and the walls and ceiling were completely draped. I chose white uplighting behind the fabric since everything I did was really neutral. I still hate these gold chair sashes.

Here’s mine…it’s a really old theatre, and this area is actually backstage. (Not my wedding, just a photo from their website!) Cocktail hour will be on the balcony and the band will play on the stage to the left. Behind the band is theatre seating. πŸ™‚

We plan to have it set up fairly similarly to how they are here; no head table though.  We’re using the chairs in the second photo and DIY our own chair sashes.

Our DJ will have an uplight set up (picking navy blue to go with our colors), and we’ll use the fake lighted trees from the first photo.  We’ll have navy table overlays and floral centerpieces as well.

I plan on having it decorated similarly. My colors are bright blue and fuschia. The uplighting will be blue and change throughout the night. We are having high centerpieces with exotic flowers and lots of bling.

This is our venue, the head table will be lengthwise below the dual staircase and that is where we will make our entrance and I will also toss the bouquet. Cocktail hour will be on the upper level.  Below is a picture of another wedding set up…the dual staircase is behind the dancefloor to the left (not shown). I don’t think we need to do too much on the decorating side to it.  We will have nice tablescapes though!

These pictures (Four Seasons, Las Vegas) are not from our wedding…because we are getting married only in January 2014..:) But ballroom and ceremony room are the same…We will decorate in a completely different way..We are planning on using more flowers, lights etc…Colors will be neutral…with a little of burgandy..

I want to mention that we were looking at Mandarin Oriental at first..which has a very modern high-tech look…but I realized that these contemporary fashionable style wouldnt look that cool in 10 years….that’s why we made up our minds to have our wedding at the venue with a classical style..

Also, I personally prefer outside weddings…but it will be way too cold  in Vegas at that time of the year…so we decided on the indoor ceremony/reception.

@OhsoLovely:  OMG that is so funny!!  What a coincidence huh!? I would love to see how you are planning to decorate or what your colors are πŸ™‚

Our colors are champagne, cream, light pink, and a touch of ice blue…mostly a romantic/glam theme I guess you could call it.  I LOVE the ballroom as it is so I don’t want anything overdone for decorations.

We are doing our ceremony in a different room in the same hotel πŸ™‚
