- Wedding: June 2014
I’m getting married this Saturday (!!). My dress is a tea-length Oleg Cassini:
Deciding what to wear in my hair has actually been the single most stressful part of my wedding fashion plans (the second dress I ever tried on was the one, and I’m borrowing all jewelry from my mother). Originally I was just planning to wear a flower fascinator in my hair (no veil). But as the wedding got closer, I was starting to question that decision. It was just a nagging thought. My life is so busy, though, and before I knew it, it was 1 week before the wedding and too late to even think about finding anything else!
Well, yesterday, in a random turn of events, I happened to pick up this birdcage veil headband on sale for a great price! I’m really happy with it and when I showed Fiance he got even more excited to see me in my dress, which was sweet. He usually doesn’t have a preference to what I do as far as my appearance, but I think in this case, he was happy that I’m choosing something a little more “bridal” than just a single flower.
I am really pleased with it. Anyway, here’s a picture:
My only worry is that it won’t go with the dress. We are getting married out-of-state and I don’t have it with me to check. Here’s to hoping that it works!
Anyway, I just wanted to start a thread for people to share their birdcage veils and/or opinions on birdcage veils. I’d love to also see your dress and how you are styling the veil! Birdcage veils are supposedly very “trendy” right now, but I still haven’t actually gone to a wedding where the bride was wearing one, so I’m wondering just how popular they actually are. Thanks!
