Bees, I knew this would happen eventually. I’ve been a SAHW/FI since the beginning of our relationship over 2 years ago. I recently got a PT job where I work 9 hours one day and 12+ hours another day.
I’ve always been the one doing the grocery shopping, cooking, cleaning the kitchen, laundry, general cleaning of everything else. He takes of the cars (although I usually help) and he pays most of the bills online. So I pretty much do it “all” since that was my FT job.
I’ve slacked on the grocery shopping and laundry this week b/c of other stuff going on. Darling Husband noticed it and mentioned it to me. He asked what he can help with b/c it’s not fair that I continue to do it all now that I’m working PT. So I told him I would create some sort of chore chart since we both love list-making.
Any charts or links to some good ones?

Sorry, I don’t have any links for you. I just find your post really interesting because since we’ve been living together (almost 3 years), I’ve worked PT AND done pretty much everything around the house. I try to get Darling Husband to help with the dishes and occasionally do his own laundry but we can never get into a consistent routine because, as much as I love him, he’s kind of a slacker. I guess I could use some help, too!

@iheartnerds: When we first lived together (in a different house) I had my own bathroom (his was TINY) and a spare bedroom for my clothes/other stuff. I kept my stuff cleaned all the time and occasionally cleaned his icky, dirty bathroom….I wouldn’t even pee in there! Now we share a bathroom and a “closet.”
Darling Husband doesn’t like wasting time cleaning up the house when we could be out traveling/exploring Europe. So weekends aren’t available and during the week, he’d rather me be snuggling on the couch with him than doing chores.

There was a blog I was on the other day that outlined in great detail several things and ways to do them effeciently.
I’m racking my brain to remember it. A woman writes the blog and had a chart of things to do weekly, biweekely, monthly, annually… it was pretty interesting and might be useful as a guide for you and your SO to divide and conquer if that’s what you’d like. When I find it I’ll let you know.
(wow… that post was fairly useless… just wanted to let you know I’m searching)

HA! Got it. Not sure if you’ve already visited this site but it might help you.
This was the chart I was thinking (Don’t know if its they type of thing you were looking for)
