I’ll go first 🙂 For my Fiance, I did a card and 3 gift boxes. In the order that he opens them:
CARD: [my name] invites [his name] to take her hand as she leads you on a “MYSTERIOUS ADVENTURE”. Details to be discovered…open the boxes in order to find out more!
BOX 1: There’s a card that says “Your chariot awaits.” Underneath a lot of tissue is a Clipper Card (used on public transportation in the San Francisco Bay Area).
BOX 2: The card says “Don’t make me spell it out for you.” Underneath the tissue is a pen and a word search that I made from scratch. The words he crosses out are all the food/drink he likes, and the leftover letters spell out:
“Choice number one Thursday roses and ravioli in the city before The City / Choice number two fine art and dining in our city by the bay after sleeping in on New Year’s Day / Choose one or both”
So basically, I planned two dates, the first one this Thursday in Berkeley (the city next to or “before” The City [San Francisco]), and/or 1/1/13 in SF.
BOX 3: Card says “Not really a clue, but more like an “insta-gift” to tide you over until our MYSTERIOUS ADVENTURE.” Under the tissue is a Starbucks gift card wrapped in that popular “Keep Calm and Carry On” poster, but I crossed out the word Calm and wrote in Warm (Keep Warm and Carry On).
Whoo that was long, sorry! Your turn, share your creative gift ideas!
