Maggie Sottero Destiny, didn’t fit my wedding. My mom loved this one.

Can’t remember the designer on this next one, mom pulled her off a mannequin. I really liked this one in the store, I wanted a LACE dress very much, but in the picture I hated how short it made me look!

Pronovias Huesca—This was my fave, but it was missing that sparkle and didn’t speak wedding dress to me. I almost purchased her though.

Priscilla of Boston Hunter, loved it, but only with the belt! It was over budget with the belt! ๐Ÿ™

Priscilla of Boston 4213, amazing detail, but it weighed about 30 lbs!!! I did like it alot though.

A short selection of dress rejects (I couldn’t photograph all of them):

This dress made me feel too old, and I didn’t like how the material b/w the top and bottom looked so separated:

I thought this dress was really pretty but it felt too traditional for me:

I really loved the way this dress fit me, but it wasn’t the look i was going for. I was also really set on having a natural waist:

The back of the same dress:

I really really wanted to like this as a wedding dress, because I think it is so beautiufl… but I just didn’t feel like a bride when I was wearing it.

As a joke, one of my bridesmaids made me try this on:

Here’s my rejects. The first was a custom-made dress that turned out FUGLY! The next was tried during my first and last visit to the bridal shop. The third was a dress I already had in my closet – yes I was that desperate. I finally found my dress on eBay for $100!

I almost bought dress 3, but I thought it was too much. I then went to another bridal shop and bought a dress $400 more, hehe.

@CatyLady: Thank you, the 1st one was almost the one. But given my location I felt it wasn’t really what I wanted! It spoke BEACH to me, and I am getting married in the Mountains!

Rejected: Maggie Sottero’s Kendra. It’s beautiful, but just wasn’t right for me.

WARNING: long ๐Ÿ™‚

First dress I ever tried on.. A girl in the appointment before me wore it (and bought it). She looked awesome which is why I tried it on. It looked horrible on me. Silk shows everything

I was tempted by this one because the dress was so light and airy and made my figure look great. My friend loved it and the shop assistant said it was the most striking on me.. but I just knew it wasn’t me :/

The lace on this dress is to die for (so intricate and soft). I was in LOVE with the gorgeous feminine sleeves and bust. I didn’t go for it because it was quite unforgiving in the hip area and made my thighs look enormous.

My almost dress.. I decided against it because the beadwork was iridescent. It shimmered rainbow sparkles like crazy in plain daylight. It would have been gorgeous at night, but I feared would look silly for most of the day (and especially in church)

This is the type of dress I thought I would get.. a simple chiffon gown. I would have removed the sleeves if I picked this one. It made my figure look good but I was such a plain Jane in it. Sad.

I didn’t want strapless, but if I could’ve gone for one, it would have been this one. It looks terrible in the picture, but my gosh it was amazing. The tulle is actually sheer so you could see the gorgeous fitted mermaid bodice beneath which was also super flattering for my not-so-perfect figure

Last one! I tried on heaps more, but these were the main contenders out of the “rejects”. This was flattering and had awesome corsetry but my friend couldn’t stand the knot across the hips. I liked this dress alot, but it wasn’t the one.

@caszos:  I was wondering do you know what the style number for this was? or the name of this dress? I love this, and fell in love with it the moment saw it in the store, and in this picture! I hope you can help me!
